Stephen pointed out how world leaders and business leaders are flocking to Mar-a-Lago to meet with President Trump before his return next month to the White House.

Stephen also predicted we are going to see major governments topple bringing in populist Trumpian candidates in the next 18 months.

Labour Party has history here too. The last Labour government promised the electorate a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and then reneged on that after getting elected.

In 2016 Starmer said he respected the outcome of the referendum and then spent the following years conspiring to overturn it .

As for the Tories, the party was very split and pulling in different directions. David Davis ( a leaver ) , the UK's original Brexit negotiator, quit because Theresa May ( a remainer ) kept going over his head and making concessions to the EU. And so it went on...

Even within the Brexiteer ranks there were different views of the kind of arrangement UK should have with the EU. Daniel Hannan said after the referendum was won it became clear to him very quickly that soft Brexiteers like himself who had envisaged a Norway type relationship were very much the minority and most Brexiteers wanted a much more arms-length relationship with the EU.
