This is exactly what the problem is: so many guys have been drooling on their keyboards so much that the boards are shorting out from California to Kalamazoo and from Portland, OR to Portland, ME. No wonder you have received so few PMs (aside from mine, which kept the drool to a civilized amount - such is the politesse among friends, after all) - the guys must all be afraid of having to buy a new keyboard every time they correspond with you.

you know Norajane, when I started this thread I was serious about being addicted to Lit. I don't have the same problem on weekends because I don't get on the computer often then, but whenever I'm on the computer I almost awlays stop in at Lit before going anywhere else. I find it the toughest while I'm working because the temptation is always there.

I agree with your assessment of the people that post here....a nice crowd indeed. Maybe that's the biggest part of the temptation for me since there's no one here (at my house) to chat with when I'm working.

BTW, I agree with wicked woman too, your posts are always very well thought out.

Now I really feel all warm and fuzzy...and boy does that feed the Lit addiction! Where else can you log in and before you've finished your morning coffee, you find people saying nice things about you.

Yup, that's right, I'm addicted.

I spend all day working on my computer, and Lit is only 2 mouse clicks away. The temptation lingers all day long; it's not unlike the pull of a magnet.

I think that it is safe to say that I am addicted. I am able to curb my addictions to evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Some days are better than others, and I can keep my focus. Other days I don't do so well. Today is one of those days. If I stop to get more coffee or use the facilities, when I come back to my desk I must check in here. Sometimes I keep my browser running in the background so i can check in quickly. Even if there's not much conversation going on I will still check.

I don't have that luxury...and it is probably a good thing or I would be on here more than I already am!

Maybe it has something to do with working at home. There's no one else here with which to strike up a conversation....talk sports....or crack jokes. I sometimes talk to my 2 dogs but they don't have much to say.

I think that is why I finally got a dog. Someone to talk to...

I don't have this problem during the evenings because the rest of my family is home, so I have people with which to converse.

I guess I just need some people contact....and this is the next best thing when nobody esle is home.

My dog can "speak" but, I don't understand her....yet...

So, how about you, addicted to Lit?

Yes! There are a lot of positive attributes to this board. As with anything, there are also some negatives. So far, the positives have outweighed any negatives. I hope it continues to be that way.
