Thanks just as a bit of feedback, my stories tend to be pretty short, the longest is 3.4k words with some under 1k. I tend to like shorter stories but do most people prefer long ones, at least 10k?

It seems stories with ratings above 4.5 are all over 10k

I’ve been working on my Tour de Literotica, attempting to write one story for every category over the next few months. My latest submission, called Passion At Play on Midsummer’s Day, actually checks two boxes as I use both the Lesbian Sex Category and I’ve entered the current SUMMER LOVIN 2023 contest.

I set this story on the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail and a chance meeting between two women hiking the distance in different directions, attempting to leave the luggage of their lives behind. It’s about instant attraction, fate, testing fate, uncharted waters, and romance. Also, let’s not forget vivid erotic sex. Very vivid and wicked erotic sex.

As I’ve stated in past posts about this Tour de Literotica, my goal is to find my niche. While ratings tell me something, the feedback helps me the most. So please read and respond.

This is my first contest, and I plan on using the experience to better understand what the LE community wants.

For those of you unfamiliar with my writing, I love stories that twist and turn, and I insist my characters feel as real as you and I. That said, you’ll find my characters sweat, have hair in places they wish they didn’t, embarrass themselves, and tend to be awkward.

However, in the end, my of my stories are about good people who only seek a physical and emotional connection, something we all desire and deserve. I try to capture something my readers can associate with, so if one of my characters has an errant hair on her nipple, I’ll mention it, not to fetishize it, but to make her feel real.

Morning all. New chapters have been published and two more are still pending. The Renfield Syndrome is an erotic/psychosexual horror novel that I am estimating I'm near the halfway point on. It's my vampire magnum opus, but I'm trying to take a very different angle on the vampire mythos. It's less erotica and more very very darkly sexual, or at least that's my aim.

Horror violence and gore, LGBTQ+, bi/pansexual oriented. (I probably drastically cut down my own audience by making it bisexual, but dammit, we need some representation too.)

I loved your Summer Lovin 2023 story set on the Appalachian Trail. The AT runs through the mountains in my home county of Pa. and I've spent many hours on it, or nearby. I have to be honest, that I would have never thought of using that setting for an erotic story. I enjoyed the idea and how it had a happy ending, which was unexpected. RT
