This is what I had before it all went down along with some of the notes I took while writing. If this is sufficient, I'll post. If it isn't, someone else can feel free to take the material, modify it and npc for me. I was going to add more but... I'm blanking.


It was strange. To hear this man she had just met talk about a woman she'd only heard stories about. Vehemence and anger, barely held in the tight grip of his control, seeped through in waves as if he could impart some of that fury upon her impassive heart.

"You do understand that outside of disgust for the crimes inflicted, I have no interests in what is 'best for all within Haven'? Every city has it's criminals and problems, Haven is no different." The words were cold as the door closed behind him. "But where my interests lie are of no importance. Finding someone is my trade isn't it? It matters little to me what your motives are behind finding the person in question."

There was another pause as she regarded the power encompassed in this vampire. A small part of her wondered if it was wise to be so truthful about her neutral apathy, but she was certain he'd smell the lie if she tried to falsify her intentions.

"Business is business. I see no reason to involve my emotions for your cause. As for searching for this monster... do you have something personal from him? An item of importance would suffice, blood would be better if you want a stronger connection..."

notes:
-- Blood would probably be used bc Talon has direct blood ties to Gabe. I had envisioned her ingesting some of his blood to establish a link inside the Garden. Possibly a sharing of blood so that Talon can also tap into her mind and allow her to actually link with Gabe.

-- The vision inside the garden: I had thought maybe the floor within the garden would be like a map drawn in blood of Haven, the lines getting thicker and harder to read as it gets closer to Gabe's general location, in addition to that would be whatever Gabe decides to be doing at that moment

It's good, gives Talon that chance to say (drum roll) "The monster is my son"

Also the blood sharing, though that will get sexual quite fast.... A few drops of her blood and he'd have every memory, not just hers, but all she's retained?

I'd enjoy expanding on your character with you VT, but if it's too much to focus on at this time? I'm sympathetic to your loss and know words can't heal.. *hugs*

The garden vision I like as well, the floor becoming a map under them as they share blood, almost as if they float above it... the river thickening as Gabe's trail grow strongest? It needn't be a direct path, as we want all in the story to have time as well....

Again, it's well done and in a few paragraphs gives me huge opportunities...if you're comfortable with it, post it...

blood sharing doesn't mean things have to be sexual. I had hoped Maya'd gotten good at getting out of such situations. She's supposed to have quite a lot of practice. A few drops is fine

Of course it seems only fair that she gets a good dose of his memories in return. Not all of them, she can't handle that much, but probably the recent twenty some years. An equivalent to her own age (25). Blurring the farther out it gets?

I think if Maya gets that much information about Talon, she'll have lots of reasons why she'd keep things platonic... and he'd probably understand why.

I'm sort of distracting myself. Keeping myself busy so I my mind doesn't wander too far.

So they prick a finger each and mix it into glasses of wine, the transfer done and Maya left to do her magic? Does that work?

That definitely works. Or something possibly closer to what I'm guessing you had in mind within the garden -

Her eyes watched his as she brought the open wound to her mouth. The color of blood rouging her lips as she took the first swallow. It was a moment as much as it was an eternity. Unfathomable as to how much life was behind the man that offered so much.

A distant part of herself noticed the tip of his fangs before they pierced her skin, taking his share and completing the link as the Garden blurred and the visions began...

The smell of blood pooled between them, as if they were bleeding in measured trickles to purposely draw across the ground that fell away from their feet...

something of that sort? Go ahead and take material if you want. Though I think if your purpose includes some background character development, the process itself should move a touch slower. If you need to get to the next person of interest than thats fine as well.

the option, and the post are up to you... if Maya stays in character and aloof from it all the blood exchange is but a chore to be rid of as quickly as possible. Talon has expressed his regrets and will abide by her actions, no more, no less.

Sorry for not posting in a couple days guys. The last two days at work has been tough for me and tiring (upon getting home yesterday I just went to bed rafter just checking in here) fortunately I have tomorrow off so I can stay up and catch up on my posting.
