I so need a better scanner.. bleah

Wow freaking awesome shot. I do agree on the scanner. Little tip though, take the negative to your local film developing place and they will scan it to disc for you. Back when I was shooting film I always just paid the $3 or so to have all the shots put on disk. Fairly good quality. Not like out of a pro dig cam but better than the ol' scan method.

Thanks man :) Appreciate the compliment

As for the tip, unfortunately my only photo developing place got rid of their micro-lab recently, and with it, their scanning equipment as well (no clue why they got rid of the scanning equipment, makes no sense) as they weren't getting enough demand in this area to continue developing film. They offer a mail in service to another branch, but I don't want to wait a week just to get scans :p

Walmart is the only place left in my area that does developing, and I'll never take my film back to them. I got my first roll developed there and they were very sloppy with my negatives. Cut them crooked, to the point that they cut parts of the pictures off, and then when I went for an enlargement it came out such low quality I couldn't use it to enter the contest I had intended it for.

I always forget to check the little box to get back the scanned versions when I drop off my film though, I really ought to try to remember.. but I'd still like to have my own film scanner anyways, because I have quite a few rolls laying around I'd like to put to disk, for backup purposes at the very least (and so I can do my own enlargements.. Down with Walmart photo lab!!)

ETA: If you can't tell, I live in a backwater town :p That photo was taken about 10 blocks from where I live

Y'all have posted some great pictures here...and it's hard to photograph cats sometimes. They don't take direction very well. I had one once who would come up and put his paw on the lens when I was trying to take his picture.

Here are three pics that I took.

The first was for a class, the horses name is Cocoa

The second is a sunset from the edge of this cliff at a place I really enjoy.

The third is a practically newborn baby rabbit that I was trying to raise because the mother rejected her babies. Unfortunately none of the litter survived.

Omg...my eyes popped when I saw the horse - it's first rate! Can I save it to my pictures?

Awww...you must have been heartbroken when you lost the little bunny. :(

England in the early summer

I'm fascinated by this thread. Such a diverse range of images. I hope you find mine of some interest. I get a lot of wildlife in my garden. I'm on the edge of a city and here are a few of the things I see. Thanks for looking
