I remember the story when this initially happened, but I had no idea it was this deep. I just remember seeing stuff about revenge porn and it being a thing. I remember there was a Lifetime movie about it. That’s right, I said a Lifetime movie. I watched it. The acting was so deliciously bad it was entertaining. But it seemed to be very loosely based on the characters, so I had no idea the extent of what was going on.

I think there is a really disturbing issue where people on the internet just don’t see that these are real people. I mean, the way they were so happy to rejoice in someone potentially killing themselves or losing their jobs… it was baffling.

After this show, I watched another documentary on Netflix about terrible stuff done on the internet called Web of Make Believe. The first episode was about gamers who were into “SWATTING”. This is where they would call the SWAT team on a fellow gamer and have them show up at their house. These pranks became massively dangerous, yet they had zero guilt for anything that went wrong. (Spoiler alert) An unrelated, innocent man ended up dying due to his address being used in one of these pranks. The gamers didn’t give a shit at all. Who are these people?

I recently just finished another docuseries with a similar plot in info the episodes. It got me thinking.

What do you all think about looking up these celebrities and their nude pics? Not from movies, but like the ones where their cell phones got hacked. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t searched for the occasional celebrity here or there to see if she has a naked pic. But then when I see that she has one but it’s not exactly from a movie, I can’t say I immediately click away.
