Portfolio of a Wallflower

I'm now part of a support group here (informal)....we kick each other whenever one of us succumbs to the urge to argue with an idiot.:)

Teknight had to save me from myselff a few nights ago; I returned the favor this morning! *silly trolls*

It can be fun to out-troll a troll, but yeah...it's usually a waste of time.

This one's too F'n stupid to realize its been smacked down. Besides, I'm not certain its even the same person using that username every time. (varying mannerisms, styles)

I'm the same way. In my A&P classes, I'd get pissed off when I missed ANYthing. And it was always seemed to happen on questions that weren't written well, or the picture being referenced was vague. I'd always go argue my point with the instructor about it, and often got the points awarded back. :)
Wow... lol wish college was like that. Grats to you lol many props.
These aren't even finals? Sorry to hear you are over worked right now. I know what that is like.
lol thanks. I just need a full day of sleep and then I'll be recharged...
Hiya, H! I really enjoyed your poem. Very well written!
Oh! Says the poet himself! You seem so earnest, it's kinda embarrassing...//// lol

I don't get involved with trolls... they have tusks and some look like they have porcupine quills for hair. >.<

Ooooor... he could have caught syphylis and reached the final stages and gone insane......

gotta run for now. Great talking to you guys! Ty for the well wishings, and I thiink I'm gonna be taking a nap here soon lol

ttyl

Lol. No need to be embarrassed. You're uber talented. Quite a creative soul. I dig it!

Well... ^ ^;;... I did my best, and I remembered everything (except for one name) but I don't think I got a good score. The prompt was to give nine British acts/laws/policies enforced between the French and Indian War and 1776. Give the colonists' specific reactions and why they justified those reactions.

I looked at all the little policies inside the acts and thougt I had more than enough, but the prof said it didn't work like that, I couldn't divide the acts up into policies. =(( I only ended up getting six (or seven...)
Stamp Act, then that got repealed and then the Declarative Act stating Brit could tax the colonies, then the Townshend Acts that taxed luxury goods and enstated vice-admiralty courts and moved troops over to the colonies, then some act(s) I don't know that outlawed smuggling and trade with the Floridian French (friendly, main source of rum, most sanitary drink at time) and allowed Brit officials to confescate any suspected 'smuggled' property (violating Englishman's rights of private property and privacy, led to lots of using the law for crime), then the Tea Act to buy out the EIC and only sell English tea in the colonies, putting local tea merchants out of business and monopollizing the industry (hence Boston Tea Party to boycott and protest), then meanwhile, there was the Quartering Act meaning Brit soldiers were to be housed in colonists' homes. Then when England found out about the Boston Tea Party they flip and try to intimidate the colonies (Coersion Acts/Intollerable Acts)by totally shutting down Boston Harbor, sending more troops, and closely monitoring the town meetings for any other upstart-ish behavior. =(( then we made the Declaration of Independance and that's that. I don't know what I'm missing....

Sounds like you really did some research and studied hard for this one. You definitely know what you're talking about. You don't know what your score is yet?

lol thanks ^ ^; I try, but it's not always so successful. I'm glad you like it.

LOL well I'll just keep what I'm doing then, I suppose. I get confused too easily to try to pick at what exactly makes me charming, and I'm running off fifteen minutes of sleep, so I'll just take your word for it lol

You're just going to have to trust me. ;) Yes, please keep doing what you're doing.

You will find tests sometimes intentionally flawed....to waste your time. I've seen in in professional licensing exams, a number of questions may have *no correct answer choices*. This is done to test your confidence in your knowledge, as well as ability to prioritize & use time wisely. Those questions are kept out of the scoring percentages; but often they cause people to doubt themselves and waste precious minutes ( or hours) they should spend on viable problems. There's also a post-exam review ( each exam is fresh, they never re-use them), wherein questions with vague parameters or multiple correct responses will be allowed for. My scores (there are two in Florida, for construction licensing) went up around 2%.....a couple weeks after the test.

It's good to see you are back! I was wondering what had happened to you! =)

Hope today's test goes better for you! Have a great day.

Aaw, thanks!! ^ ^ :rose: lol it is nice to get positive feedback like that once in a while. Too much and it doesn't mean anything anymore tho, imo. You seem really adament about it, so I'll believe you this time. ;)

T-T I thought I did.

I don't know what the base is, but I scored a 77 on it. She said I was missing two laws and I didn't have enough dates on my identifications. (six names, places, or events were given for me to define and give significance to... and date. >.> [<--what I didn't do])

She usually has a score out of 80, but considering I had to take it late (she said I couldn't get an A because of that) and considering I messed up on the IDs, I'm assuming I got a 77/100?

=( I felt really confident about what I knew and I think I should have done better.. or more like it's discouraging that I felt so confident and still did just average.
You're just going to have to trust me. ; ) Yes, please keep doing what you're doing.
Oh, okay... well then, if I have to...

>.> those jerks...
Hey hana. Looking beautiful in blue.
:)
Thanks! ^ ^ :rose: it's my fav. color!
It's good to see you are back! I was wondering what had happened to you! =)
Hey, you! ^ ^ welcome back...erm... to my thread.. I guess. (lol says the one who was gone)
LOL...I was talking about college. A&P=Anatomy & Physiology
>.>..... I-I knew that... *ahem*

=/ that seems really weird. no way would a prof give credit for a 'too-general' question or an answer to a question that was hardly covered.
I can think of a different happy ending...you would need some sleep after I was finished
lol but I'm so tired already....

Guess I'd just need to drink lots'o sports drink to recover.
Good morning, Hana :rose:
Hope you have a great day!
Morning! ^^ Slash afternoon. lol And the same to you sir!
Hope today's test goes better for you! Have a great day.
Thanks for the well-wishing, but the worst essay question for me could have been picked u.u It was on a man's childhood and early adulthood before he started a sectarian cult in the 1830's. I only studied him after he gave himself a new name and started forming his cult. T-T

I did NOT give up tho!! I guess and BS'd my way through it and just tried to fill in the blanks in my head. Apparently he had prophesies as a child and he was essentially a bum as an adult, but everything else I got pretty much spot on, so I think I got at least a passing grade. (I hate thinking that way tho. >.<)

 I don't know. I have a pretty extensive knowledge of the human body and how it moves, and I was able to back up the reasons for the way I answered the questions. Before I had ever taken the class, I had read probably 5 different books covering anatomy. Mainly structural and kinetic anatomy, and books covering movement impairment syndromes and how to fix them, along with papers written by people like Vladimir Janda, Thomas Myers, Shirley Sahrmann, Gray Cook, etc. I probably knew more about structural and kinetic anatomy than the professor did.

(I know I kinda look like a dumb meathead, but I'm really not. ;))

Looks can be deceiving.....Some of my " old fart" customers scoff at my long hair & tats; then don't know what to think when I explain something in depth to them. I have always gotten off on the " breaking stereotypes" thing.

Please forgive my effusive praise. I enjoy reading the writing of others. It's exciting. Anywho, hope you're doing great!

sorry to hear it wasn't an ideal essay. Hope you get some credit for it though. I know how disappointing these things can be.

Did you try your best?
That is all I could ask for...

No I lied...there is a lot more I could ask for

Good morning/afternoon, Hana

I'm sorry it turned out that way. I know that can be very discouraging and you did try really hard. The fact that you researched and studied hard and knew what you were talking about should have counted for more. That part about not getting an A because you were taking it late makes it sound like she was against you from the start.

I hope today is a great day for you! :rose:
