Thanks to all thaat shared their prayers and good wishes for my Daughter's surgery. It was successful although we did spend 2 extra nights in hospital due to her pain being uncontrolled. We came home yesterday and she slept beautifully.

Only 7 more weeks of being in a plaster cast!

Thanks for the update, I was thinking to send a PM and ask since you hadn't posted. Sorry to hear she had a rough time of it, but it's good to know the procedure went well and she's home now

Thankyou for thinking of us. She is a lot better at home and only needing paracetamol for pain relief now. She went back to school yesterday and was fine so I think we are over the worst.

On a different note, I heard on the news yesterday that a soldier killed in Afghanistan recently lived in the same suburb as me. It hit me quite hard. My prayers go to his family.

...to be patient when the things are out of anyone's control...
...to be patient and calm when erratic behavior shows itself
...to be patient and hold the tongue instead of exasperating the situation
...to be patient when the emotions take over and everyone looks to me to handle it
...to be patient when the daily tasks are so overwhelming that nothing seems to get done...

Following up. Did the appointment go well?

thanks for the pm. Have been feeling quite low lately and not on here much so it cheered me to realise that people do care, even if they are not family! Anyway, she is going well and has been fitted for a brace and will get that on the 20th but I'm not sure if the plaster will come off then or it will stay on for a while longer.
