Prayers and thoughts needed.

I don't know you, but I'm so sorry. Keep faith and stay strong <3

Cathleen and Lamb;

Thanks so much for the prayers and well wishes. Haven't heard anything yet about how the procedure went today, but I'm much more encouraged than I was yesterday morning.

Any news, Adora? I hope things are moving in the right direction.:rose:

(I know I took a liberty with your name, hope you don't mind.)

(Nah, I don't mind at all)

Thanks for asking, Cathleen. My FIL is home (happy dance) and I got to speak with him this afternoon. All things considered, he's doing pretty well but he's understandably very tired. The scan showed slight damage to his heart (about 10%), but given that it could have been sooo much worse, I'm not going to holler.

Hopefully he'll heed this as the warning that it was and slow down a bit. He tries so hard to take care of everyone else that he ignores his limitations at times.

I don't know you but I just wanted to say that my heart goes out to you. Stay strong hun ((((hug))).

Prayers are needed tonight for a friend of the family who lost her mom, dad, brother and grandmother in a tornado that just went through our area over the weekend.

They were traveling in an SUV that was picked up and eventually thrown into a field. Two of them were found out in the field. The other two bodies had to be removed from the vehicle. Family visitation is set for Thursday and the funeral for all 4 will be on Friday.

^^placing your friend in a very special place in my heart. What a truly tragic event. I don't know how someone can survive that kind of loss. I am so sorry for your friend.:rose:

Oh, EN, that is stunningly awful. I offer my prayers, although it just doesn't seem enough. My best to all. :rose:

Continued prayers

Thanks Denae, Quoll and Cathleen. She is the same age as my youngest son. It will be a rough couple of days for her getting through visitation and the funeral.

She got engaged around Christmas and moved in last night with her fiancee and his parents. They have taken her under their wing for now and are trying to piece together what her parents had in the way of insurance, house payments, etc.

Apparently long lost relatives are coming out of the wood work to claim what they think is rightfully theirs (With no thought of what is best for her). The future father-in-law is a sharp businessman. He has gotten an attorney involved and changed the locks on her home. He is trying to protect what rightfully belongs to her now as the sole surviving heir.

People never cease to amaze me. :(

Empty Nester - I just saw this. Oh, how my heart aches for this girl. Will definitely keep her lifted in prayer.

And what is up with the relatives . Jeez, people can be such vultures. I hope they all get a kick in the ass for being so rotten. It sounds like the FFIL is an all around good guy and is looking out for her.

Emptynester, I am so so sorry to hear this. What a tragedy! I will keep this poor girl in my thoughts. :rose:

Thanks Bailadora and BG. The funeral was packed. She is doing as well as expected. Our pastor did a great job of talking about each member of the family and remembering the good times we all had at one time or another with one or all of them.

It was very nicely done and a wonderful tribute to the family.

The future father-in-law took charge of the funeral arrangements to make sure her wishes were taken into consideration as well as the brothers and sisters, etc. of her mom and dad. He is being very protective of her right now which is something she is going to need over the next few months.

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers.:rose:

I was without Internet access for a few days, emptynester, so I just now saw this. I'm so sorry. :rose:

Kudos to the future FIL for looking out for your friend.
