Apparently we are all correct, never heard it applied to pies before, but it fits just as well.

Someone gives you some dead horse, you could then use it on _______ ? Possibly all of these (Snorkers, Little boys, Mystery bags). Snorkers are sausages, as are mystery bags, but in some areas mystery bags could be a meat pie or chiko roll. Little boys are cocktail frankfurts. Dead horse is rhyming slang for (tomato) sauce. Pies can also go under the title of maggot bags.

I'm in a state of confusion constantly, but they're a really delicious shellfish that are delightful poached in white wine with a touch of garlic finished off with cream.

For others...they're potato slices dipped in batter and deep fried.

Just lately safeway down here have decided to stop calling spring onions spring onions because in Sydney spring onions are called shallots, so the spring onions here are now going to be called shallots even though technically shallots are not spring onions but actual shallots.
Which brings to mind a few questions, if our spring onions are now shallots, what do we call our shallots?
For that matter what do they call shallots in Sydney?

No idea with the shallots as i don't buy the things. For that matter who the hell are Safeway, never heard of them.

Scallops are still scallops in the fancy places.

Don't know bout the rabbit thing but quite a few years ago we had a truckload of choock bound for KFC lose it's load on the highway.

I got a burger from one of the shops a few days later and i swear that it had a bit of road gravel in it. Bit into the thing and some extra crunchy bits that didn't look like they should be there were present.

Don't know bout the rabbit thing but quite a few years ago we had a truckload of choock bound for KFC lose it's load on the highway.

I usually pull out a handfull of delivery dockets all clearly stating Fosseys and wave them in their face and explain the fact that the name change is only window dressing, oh and it's Country Target arsehole.
