heres a question~~

When did you find out the most about what pleases you sexually and what was it that you learned? Have you discovered more through long standing relationships or though short periods of intimacy with different lovers?

I honestly think I learned differently from different styles of lover. I without doubt learned the most, and gained the most from love affairs that lasted. These allowed exploration on a far greater scale and gave real intimacy. The few short term lovers I have had though taught me a great deal about immediacy. And how to fully enjoy lust. But all lessons are equally valid.

In love , is intensity or permanence more important to you? How much do you expect from someone who loves you? What would make you feel betrayed by your mate- indifferance? dishonesty? infidelity?

In love it is neither intensity or permanence that overwhelm the other. Intenisty will fade in time as the mirage it is, and permanence; it all too often an illusion donned by star struck lovers to conceal that everlasting fact of life - that is an ending. To me the truest test of love is that afterburn that follows the first intensity, that every now and then reignites into full-blow lustful passion and can equally dim into that perfect moment of enjoying silence sitting together on the couch, letting the world slip by.
Betrayal is hard, the only true betrayal to me is hypocricy. If there is understanding, and both parnters follow their nature then ther eis nothing to fear, as betrayal is impossible.

How serious would an affair need to be before you want and expect to be told about it? What makes hearing such a confession so threatening that most people would rather be deceived? Is this kind of honesty more likely to be destructive or lead to greater intimacy and trust? How much do you trust your lover? How much can you be trusted?

That would entirely depend on how it started. In some cases I would expect fidelity, such as when it was promised, in others, when it is not, then I have no expectation of such. I personally in general prefer to not hear about an affair, unless it's pre-arranged, often it is better to be blind as sometimes that demon jealousy climbs up to your brain and claims your thoughts. Which is never healthy for the relationship. I trust my lover totally, but I understand their nature first or they are not truly my lover. And I hope that I can be trusted completely.

dude, yer killing nascent polls, you insensitive clod! :D

color: black. for those technical nit-pickers who insist that isn't a color per se, silver/gray.

candy: three musketeers bars; combos.

cartoon character: daffy duck, esp the early stuff when he was really zany.

season: spring. i like the promise of good times w/out the humidity of summer.

i think i learned my preferences mostly through fantasizing--i was by some standards a late-bloomer WRT my sexual experience. my sexual history consists primarily of long-term relationships, with 2-3 exceptions and i learned the most from my first sexual partner.

in love, intensity and longevity are equally important to me. i'd feel betrayed by dishonesty or deception far more than by other things. for me, it's context-dependent: in some contexts, a kiss would be vastly worse than a random one-night stand, to be honest: it's a betrayal of intimacy that bothers me.

b/c i'm married, any affair would be very damaging--here, an affair meaning amorous activity w/out my knowledge/consent. and my expectations go for my wife as well as for myself.
