A new Q & A...

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why? What would you put on your itenerary to do/see?

oh that's easy. There are a number of places on my 'still to see' list...but Turkey has been my favourite so far. Toured the whole western half and made a few trips to Istanbul. Would love to tour the eastern half as well.

Why? How many reasons would you like? I love the architecture, the mosques are exquisite...so much history.,places like Gallipoli, Epheus (although the replica of the Trojan Horse was terrible)...geographically it's got mountains, beaches, Pammukale, cities built in caves, Istanbul is the only city both in the west and the east, and the wonders of Cappadocia...the people are extremely friendly....and I enjoy the food and music and the handmade Turkish rugs. Oh and let's not forget my Turk is there.

I'd love to go to a lot of places. One place I've always really wanted to go is Egypt. I'd love to be able to see the pyramids and tour through them.

Those are amazing pictures wicked woman! The middle one, are those actual houses built right into the rocks? They look really interesting!

ah yes Egypt is on the 'still to see' list.

Thanks. Yes those are houses built into the rocks in Cappadocia. The one of Pammukale that looks like water on ice is actually water on a hill of calcium deposits from the nearby hot springs.

Question for anyone:

Why the fuck are there two self-facial threads on Page 1?

A serious q (well, sort of): have you ever followed advice that you received here in Lit?

Well, yes, but not directly. I learned a lot here. I learned to look at certain things a different way. That's probably not what you meant though...

Good question. I'm curious to hear more answers too. This might be a good one for a new thread actually....

No, because I was looking for validation and I didn't get it, so you bastards can just fuck right off! :p

Seriously, the times that I've posted on HT asking for advice, I've taken the legitimate advice to heart, even if I didn't follow all of it.

here's a Q n A about Q&A... does anyone remember it? all i know is that Q&A was a program created by symantec when it was a very new company but, short of knowing the name, i can't think of what it was for... anyone?

Yes. Many times actually. The folks here are quite helpful. :)

Question for anyone:

Do you subscribe to threads? If so, how many?

I automatically subscribe to all threads I replied in, otherwise I would not know how to keep track. I even see a new reply in a thread that I'm (apparantly) subscribed to and wonder (sometimes) "What? Did I say something in there?" :D

Seriously though... must be the age  but I need the subscriptions to keep track. I have no idea how you and Erika keep track of everything! Also about what other people said!

I don't know about Erika, but I have a memory for details, most of them pretty damned unimportant.

I subscribe to 56  threads. Most of them are what I'd call GB history stuff, like the ass cancer thread, cheap-ass spices, etc. Threads that I vaguely remember from my lurker days.

Yes 116 so it says...and that's not counting the HT Forum/Cafe that I don't subscribe to since I read a number. A number are old but let me find them if I'm interested.

I have one lonely thread on my subscription list. A lot of the posts are bits of erotica.
