Link shmink, tenuous is my middle name, my parents were fucking weird weren't they.
Nice big typo I had there...

But I shall chalk it up to acceptance. ; )

I'm beginning to believe oatmeal is evil, unless of course paired with sugar.

Another question:

If you were invited to see and poke around the office of someone famous who would you pick?
To answer my own question, I think I'd like to see Steve Martin's office. He's an interesting person.

I don't see any typo, I'll just put that down to anality. ;)

What questions do you hate to be asked?

did anyone else hear that richard jeni killed himself? i'm going to go try to find out about it but i just heard a rumor... very tragic if it's true. :(

My burning question:

How much 'baggage' is too much coming into a new relationship? Should baggage be equal on both sides to make it work? Or does it really matter?

I think the amount of baggage isn't as important as the desire of the two to work it out and accept and love each other...

of course, I am single, WTF do I know?

I'm single and that's how I feel but... there are some instances where the baggage is pretty immense and totally one sided. I'm not sure that love can conquer all in that case. Just curious.

btw, your av has always made me giggle ~ thanks ;)

yeah, I think some semblance of balance whether balance of issues, work on issues, etc. is necessary.

Glad to bring you giggles...I like to make ladies with cute AV's giggle ;)

It's something I've had on my mind for a while and even moreso in the past week or so. Just curious what everyone's opinion was.

Awwww  Thanks! I enjoy the giggles :)

I agree with you about love not able to work magic and willingness is a major factor. But I'm single too -- I don't have baggage, I have a beautiful set of luggage! In my opinion if you don't have baggage (or luggage) then you haven't lived.

mmmm my Mom used to make that but I had no idea it was called anything but coffee cake. Learn something new every day.

I have another question if anyone wants to share.

What makes you most content?

I have to admit I would have never thought of Tease's answer on my own. However, it is right up there for me as an overall answer.

My first response was that I find contentment on a Sunday morning with a cup of coffee in one hand and stroking my cat Zoe's exposed belly with the other. It's the peace and quiet of the moment, combined with the connection to this special creature who loves just being near me.

The Bravo TV channel has a show called "Inside the Actors Studio". The host, James Lipton asks each guest the following questions. I thought it would be fun here.

What is your favorite word? Lately it's CRAP

What is your least favorite word? nigger

What turns you on [creatively, spiritually or emotionally]? Almost everything about this man that I love

What turns you off? racism, bigotry, ignorance, underhanded backstabbers

What is your favorite curse word? fuck, of course

What sound or noise do you love? my cat's purr, thunder, and laughter

What sound or noise do you hate? loud music, especially coming from a car out on the street

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? chef

What profession would you not like to do? dental hygienist

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
I won't be going to heaven because I do not believe in god

It was easily the first thing that came to mind. Although, apparently my independance is intimidating? I'd rather be independant than dependant upon someone for everything in my life (monetary and emotion well-being). *shrug* Just the way I am, I s'pose.

I like your content response Den :rose:

OTC allergy recommendations? I need some help here. Benadryl kicks my ass too much to take and be coherant *and drive and work, lol*

Mucinex has been good to me this year as has taking Echinacea at the onset of the sniffles.

i haven't had any allergy problems for a couple of years (just lucky) but the last OTC i used was alavert and i LOVED it... this was, hands down, the most effective and convenient treatment i've used. one pill a day, dissolves on your tongue and it actually works without making me tired. i HIGHLY recommend it.

also... if you're a coupon clipper, there are often $2 or $4 coupons in the sunday paper for it which is a really good savings.

edit to add... and it works almost instantly. hell, i'm almost willing to take some now even though i have no symptoms... it's that damn good! :D

Thank you both.

I haven't heard of mucinex but I will check both of them out. I have to watch out for drug interactions and there are certain things I simply can't take so I'm wodering if the alavert is a better alternative? I'll share with you EJ

I used to be so proud that I never had allergies... Look what happens?! Pretty sure it is allergies and not getting a cold. No fever, body aches, and aside from the other symptoms, nothing hurts, lol.

alavert is loratadine. here's most of what you need to know about it i think. they say it's also the active ingredient in claratin... which i have tried but i don't remembering it working nearly as well. *shrug* but they don't list any known interactions or side effects.

thank you for offering to share... are we talkin' about the meds though? ;)
