alavert is loratadine. here's most of what you need to know about it i think. they say it's also the active ingredient in claratin... which i have tried but i don't remembering it working nearly as well. *shrug* but they don't list any known interactions or side effects.

thank you for offering to share... are we talkin' about the meds though? ;)

Thanks for the linkie!

Well, what else would you like to share darlin'? ;)

i'm not entirely sure but i think that when i make up my mind i'll want it all to myself rather than sharing it. ;)

You don't share well, eh?
i can... but i think that if you let me have it, whatever it may be *knowing grin*, all to myself you might find a reward in not sharing as well. :p

Thank you both.

I haven't heard of mucinex but I will check both of them out. I have to watch out for drug interactions and there are certain things I simply can't take so I'm wodering if the alavert is a better alternative? I'll share with you EJ

I used to be so proud that I never had allergies... Look what happens?! Pretty sure it is allergies and not getting a cold. No fever, body aches, and aside from the other symptoms, nothing hurts, lol.

I never had an allergy in my life untill I moved from CO to OR, there must be something evil up in those woods. For like 3 months of the year I was so miserable I didn't want to live.
Last summer I found myself back in CO and got allergies almost as bad.
I am praying that I will re adapt to CO and never have to go through that again.
I did have much better luck with Claritin and Alavert than Benedril though, I hope it helps.

I picked up some alavert and so far, so good. Although my throat is still itchy :( Maybe cough drops will help.

I hope you revert back to your 'no allergy' status. They suck!!!

Does anyone use Dryell instead of dry cleaning? I'm curious if it works.
i have nothing to contribute here... but i'll take this opportunity to boast about a dry cleaner in the area who does ANY garment for $1.75. :)

EJ fan your new AV is kinda creepy
sorry man... it's richard jeni and i put it up as a tribute to him and his career. a brilliant man gone too soon. :(

edit to add: i've had several AV's up with the title "absolute genius" under my name. that title doesn't refer to me but to the person in the AV. first i had charlie parker, then daniel negreanu and now richard jeni. i've always been impressed and inspired by genius and will continue to use images of those worthy of the title.

i totally agree... it IS a somewhat creepy picture but for some reason i felt drawn to it for this application. i get your drift though. he looks like he could be a psychopathic serial killer or something.

Not worth it in my book. I bought the kit a long, long time ago (okay, years).
Wasn't impressed enough to buy more.

What are your plans for today?

Sewing, swearing, removing stitches, swearing, re-sewing... Repeat repeatedly. Conclude with a murderous glare, and the phrase, "Ya big piece of shit sewing machine!"

I'd really appreciate more sleep since I have been awake (and actually functional) for 23 hours. However, I can't sleep any more than the 4 hours I got from 2 am to 6 am. My internal clock is a bear sometimes.

Laundry
Dishes
Housecleaning
Yardwork
Shopping!

With luck a nap or two in there somewhere. :)

My plans were fulfilled. A dear friend and I attended Tempe's spring Festival of the Arts. Leisurely strolling the streets seeing the artists' wares, the wafting aromas of eats urged us down one street, and later the mini- wine tasting event counted us among its victims (wine and temps in the high 80's is not a good combo for lightweights like us). Perfect company and a perfect day, wish all weekends could be this beautiful.

Sounds like a great weekend Den. :) :rose:

Where did that thread go? Has it really been that long since I had a random thought?

I spent the better part of the day at a shooting range. Got some sun, sweated a bit, came home... showered and napped. :)

Q: I seem to have some extremely dry skin and the meager application I give my skin once or twice a day of regular body creme seems not to be helping. Any suggestions for super hydration?

I'm also looking for a good face moisturizer too.

Eucerin. You can find it at Walgreens, Target, etc.
