Ah, Huntress, you move me. Not only with your eloquence, but by bringing back memories of the writers you named. I too was inspired by those you named, but so many of them have gone...
And who knows maybe they will return in time. I found my way back to LIT!

*Seeing the place from the taxi outside, making it stop out of nostalga, entering wearing My black trenchcoat and violet off the shoulder dress. Looking around and enjoying the decor. Seeing the hot tub and the friends. Hearing Huntress and Honey's words.*
There were soo many reasons of hurt and heartbreak, and just too much drama to be dredged up. I'm glad it's in the past.
I'm glad to see Honey you have returned. It does bring inspiration to my world. Perhaps the others will return in time, and if they don't I still wish them well.
I hope I can stop by more often than I have, and perhaps I'll be inspired to join a thread. *eyeing the HT licking my lips* Is there room for a newbie that's been around a while??

Honey, my toes are ever grateful

Huntress, thanks for bringing old friends to the fore. The oppurtunity to express myself here on the boards came at an especially difficult time in my life. The humor most of all and the sexuality as well, made a difficult transition much, much easier. I would add StarXChylde, Ladykit, Delicious Maiden shereads and Arioso to that fine list as well. All of them were gracious enough to write with me and a delightful experience it was. I should like to write again, but teaching is a time robbing profession. It would take a patient partner.

In the meantime, increase the pressure on the hot tub jets and make room for
subo.

Subo, I'm ever so grateful for acrylic spas at this moment. They're easy to move out of storage and easy to move in. Sliding along a redwood bench would never afford such ease and I really don't like splinters in my bottom. (Thank you, HT!)

As for patient posters? You should take a look at Overexposure. Darren and I took a 2 years off and we're back at it. Patience is a virtue that a wise person cultivates with one's partner in RL and a writing partner on Lit. (A lesson I learned the hard way.)

Welcome (back?) Inconsequential. There's always room on the Rooftop - it's the beauty of virtual bistros, bars and hot tubs - no occupancy limits! Besides, the more the merrier, I always say!

HT< that's one nice sandwich you pulled off there but I've got the two tootsie duo.

Honey, we don't have snow days but we do manage bad weather, so we have hurricane days. Fortunately the last batch of tornados missed me and mine by several miles. One of my seventh graders shared his feelings at watching the tornado dance past his house, they are quite awesome. I'm still grateful for my climate. Summer does sound like a good timefor a thread. I have to take an ESOL(English as a second language-for you non-teachers) course on line this summer but a good thread with a good partner just might fill out my vacation.
