This is a bit like the comment I just posted on the 'Not a Sub not a Dom' thread but here goes anyway -
In just the same way that I might be alone in my views on my enjoyment of sexual Sadism, I'm happy that I may well be alone in my taste for Smeg & 'Golden Snowballing'. We are all different. Different doesn't mean better or worse than someone else. Especially when it comes to sex.

There is not always a direct correlation between her pain and my orgasm. And there is definitely a point where her pain becomes a turn off (I don't usually like to draw blood, for example).

My sadism doesn't care if the person I'm beating is a masochist, a sadist, or neither. My sadistic side gets off on delivery.

However, my vanilla side, and the side of me that wants to make sure my partner enjoys the session, prefers masochists. I want to make sure that they get enjoyment from the pain I'm dispensing. But this could be a chance to try to explain how one can indeed act like a 'Sociopath' in bed and yet still be loving and 'ordinary' in everyday life.

Have all the friends you like lic, but I figure if people want to discuss a topic they find here through PM or other behind the scenes means, so be it, it is freedom of choice IMHO and obviously they have their reasons. Nothing prevents anyone joining a discussion openly, and I just don't buy into coaxing people out of the shadows anywhere in life. If they are a mature adult, let them make those decisions for themselves, after all they know better than anyone what they feel comfortable with.

As to sadists being sensitive and shy, perhaps in some ways they are....F certainly is not a social butterfly, nor am I, but we are both people who despite that are capable of making our own decsions and don't need anyone to hold our hand, especially in the context of making a decision to post to a forum...I tend to think that is a quality which goes hand in hand with being an adult and capable of making the decisions necessary to survive in the world and especially the world of SM and D/s , don't you? Personally, if I met a sadist who needed persuasion and coaxing encouragement to feel able to post here, I wouldn't be trusting them with my butt or anything else.
