BDSM is a niche sexuality compared to the big wide vanilla world. You find vanilla dull, vanilla finds you a subject not to be taken too seriously. Can we agree on that much?
So... How is a niche sexuality regarded within BDSM? How is a niche within a niche viewed?
Pick an extreme within the BDSM spectrum - Extreme Sadism, extreme Masochism... they are the most obvious directions to head in. Uber Doms & Uber Subs would be another, but by using Sub & Dom terminology you would just get incorporated into the acceptable BDSM spectrum.
So... Put out an extreme/pathological Sadist POV into the 'orthodoxy' of the BDSM world, which on Lit. is pretty much the Sub/Dom world on the whole.
What do you get?
Vanillas treat Doms & Subs in a certain way.
Subs & Doms treat extreme Sadists in a certain way.
And the difference is?
Not a troll here just a (wait for it...) POV to add to the mix.

LOL, in what century Etoile?!! I get tired, actually bored would be more the word, with people who come here and have a number of changing stories about who they are and what they want, and then keep telling us who and what we are, what we do, what we think when they obviously just don't get it no matter how many times and how much patience is expended trying to clarify...and then profess to be one of our sorta people, even more extreme. Reminds me of primary school teasing and boasting games from those who didn't have the intelligence to be anything else. What it does say though is that they have a fairly empty and dissatisfying life to keep coming back for more.

That's what I'm saying, though. Let_it_come seems to think she's cooler than we are, or better somehow. I'm just suggesting that she calm down and act like the rest of us. If she did so, she would be taken seriously...like the rest of us. Right now, we can pretty much all see through her and it's obvious she's posturing. So if she just acts like a normal human being, she'll get treated like one, instead of constantly being scrutinized for trollery. See what I mean?

I suppose it's possible that I'm being generous and giving her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she is just a troll and I shouldn't bother telling her to "act normal" because she doesn't know what that is around here. But I am an eternal optimist...
