September Film Challenge 🎬

A movie that made me cheer.

Gotta admit, I’m not much of a “cheer at a movie” type of guy. But I was goofily pleased by this movie. And the child is this is LITERALLY the most adorable child I’ve ever seen on film.

Day 10: A film that is also a book you love
Lord of the Rings Series (pick any of them)

Day 11: A film that made you cheer at the cinema
Rocky 4 (i remember being in the movies and it was like a real life boxing match we were watching)

Day 11: A film that made you cheer at the cinema
Going to have to play fast and loose with this because I don't go to the cinema very often and I would never cheer for a movie. But I felt very happy at the end of Catherine Called Birdy. I did let out an audible sigh of relief while sitting on my sofa so I'm going to say that counts 😂

Add me to the list of "don't go to the theater much and don't cheer when I do go" but I wanted to cheer many times throughout this movie and I was pretty excited after, so I think it counts.

This reminds me of someone, I can't place it though...Humphrey Bogart playing against type. He should have won an Oscar for Captain Queeg's decent into madness...

Day 11: A film that made you cheer at the cinema
Michael Clayton. George Clooney's character is negotiating with Tilda Swinton's character for a payment to keep quiet about what he found out about her employer. Go to 3 minutes. When Clooney grins and says "You're so..." Well, watch the clip.

The Caine Mutiny - awesome choice! The book was excellent, the movie was excellent. Bogart and Fred.. Fred McMurray I think… awesome! 🥰🥰🥰

Fred McMurray playing a total sleezeball. Van Johnson, Mel Ferrer, Jerry Paris (the neighbor from Dick Van Dyke), EG Marshall as a judge. Magic.

Day 11: A film that made you cheer at the cinema

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
Specifically, Yoda in this scene. I watched it in theaters with my mom, sister, and her kids. I was about 18-19 and sitting next to my nephew, who was about 7 at the time, and who was already (and is still) the biggest Yoda fan I know. When Yoda started flipping around, my nephew's eyes were as big as saucers. I think I whispered something like "did you know he could do that?!" and he shook his head without his eyes ever leaving the screen. I totally got caught up in the excitement with him, and wouldn't have it any other way!
