September Film Challenge 🎬

Day 14: Your favorite film from your least favorite genre

This is tough because I'll watch just about anything, but I'm not a huge western fan so...

For whatever stupid reason (pure contrariness most likely) I bounced hard off this the first time I watched it. But recently did a whole Coen brother rewatch…yeah…fuck yeah this movie is so good.

We named our (sadly now deceased) tiny kitten (a real runt) Ash. People said "Because he's a grey tabby?" "No," I answered. "We named him for Ash form Army of Darkness, because of the boomstick and the chainsaw for a hand." We never had trouble with Deadites under his watch.

Day 14: Your favorite film from your least favorite genre (Note that I spelled favorite properly and left the U out there because it doesn't belong)

I'm not a fan of horror movies. This was an interesting original idea. And then they tried to ruin that by making a bunch after. Sigh......

Day 15: A film that makes you sad
Any Given Sunday (when Lawrence Taylor's Character got his bonus, I cried. When Dennis Quaid's character took himself out of the game and Lauren Holly realized he was done, I cried... When Al Pacino gave that locker room speech I had tears in my eye, when Lawrence Taylor cut the SUV in half with the saw I cried).

Day 15 a film that makes you sad
I’ve used this before but don’t care . It’s my favorite movie and it doesn’t make me sad…exactly..it overwhelms me with its beauty and its story of human relationships and the difficulty of change and growth and I always end up crying at the end (which isn’t super unusual, I can be a weepy bitch) but the fact that it still manages it after multiple viewings is surprising a little.
