Mama bear is watching over the wee bear cubs and I'm up near the Artic Circle playing the part of Polar Bear. Thank Christ for vehicles with seat warming options...actually it's not too bad up here right now. -27°C, or about -16 if you're still using the old system. I think it was colder in Chicago a week or so ago, and it supposed to warm up a bit by week's end.

It's the sunrising after 11 am and setting around 3 pm that is a little disorienting. It's dark here. Plenty dark.

If you have some time off, you should come on up.

Bring some wooly mittens.

Good Lord, have mercy! Em, as much as I love ya, darlin', you can keep those temps. I'll go hang out with Night for this one. Actually, I have a friend who used to live in Anchorage. Last week was warmer there than in most of the country. It got plenty cold here - 44F. F in this case means FUCK THAT! I put up with tourists, hurricanes, and bugs large enough to carry off Volkswagons, Smart Cars, and small children. No way in hell I should have to put up with temps <75F!

I've often wondered which is worse - 20 hour days or 20 hour nights. I think I'd probably prefer 20 hour days, but I've never had to deal with either one, so it's hard to say. As much as I hate night shift, I'd imagine the 20 hour day is easier to tolerate.
