Smart Doms-Intimidating or not?

I can't believe it is really about intelligence. Maybe just a lack of common interests. I think few people would want to be with a dumber person rather than an smarter one. Where have you been finding these people?

It would disappoint me to think that someone was with me only because of my intellect as much as it would disappoint a conventionally beautiful woman, I suppose, to know that that was the only reason she was with someone.

I agree. While I consider myself to be intelligent, I would like to think that I can bring something more to the table than just my brain. I would want to be valued for the entire package.

Intelligence is good for me for common ground, but it's not enough to feel like we're mentally on the right level alone.

There has to be so much more. Intelligence is a great jumping off point. I have to be able to hold a conversation with some similar level, but there has to be more. There has to be that intangible which determines compatibility. It can't be forced...it either is, or it isn't.
