My favorite book ever is The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. If you haven't already, read it!
Ooh, my book group read this a few years back. I loved it! :)

Fantasy 5 literoticans?? (Way more than 5 come to mind, but I'm going with the first 5 (and female) that pop in my head). Satindesire, Ecstaticsub, VelvetDarkness, Etoile, SweetErika.

Awww, I love you poohbear.:heart:

Fall is my favorite season too!! It's also because of the color change trees and soft fuzzy warm sweaters.

And what, pray tell, is "a Yank thing?"

BTW, I'm pretty sure that I know what J's lit name means as it's often on my breakfast menu.

when I say "Yank thing", I don't specifically mean you Yank, or for that matter your thing, or any yanking thereof, more a general Yank thing, or to be much more clearerer, a particularly American thing, that's a general thing also.

As there are so many Qs here I'm holding back but JtohisPB was an excellent choice and I hope she logs in soon.

Where are these other Qs, what manner of quadrumanous quisling are they, bring them before me that I might quackle and quagswag these insolent quats.

Quiet, Quoll. Quit quivering quickly -- querulous Quolls who question and quibble with quats will be quarantined.

I know what you mean about the book thing, I don't have much time to read these days, but I listen to audio books while I'm driving, I've been known to take the long way just to hear one more chapter.
(I've got to stop picking smart people to try that credit card thing on.)
What's your favourite kids movie?
What movie do your kids watch constantly that drives you crazy?

Has this thread run its course? Any more questions? Anyone? ...Bueller?

Must be about time to check the list of willing participants...

No way, you don't get out of it that easy, the weekends (Fri night) are notoriously slow around here, I'd give it a day or so.

What the hell is jelly anyway? Over here jelly is, I think, the equivalent of your jello, I'm guessing maybe jam, but that's not altogether a pleasant thought when mixed with peanut butter.

[Horshack]Oooh ooh ooh, I got one,[/Horshack] where did you get your avatar from? I've seen a few with the little squares in the corner, I've often wonderd about them, not that they bother *tic**twitch* me or anything, just curious.

My favorite movie from my childhood: The Worst Witch. I loved this movie completely and watched it sooo many times. Recently, my brother gave me the DVD as a gift! My family thinks it's "jank," but it brought back fun memories for me. (Link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092239/)

Oh how interesting, it has Diana Rigg in it, I might just have to get this...for the kids.

1. Ok, it's not jello, lol. Probably more like jam...it's quite possible the most awesome sandwich in the world when made properly. And a staple of the American childhood. It's just jelly...made from pectin and boiled down to a gloopy consistency. (I'm not making it sound appetizing, but trust me, it is.)

2. I'm too wimpy/scared to post a pic of me, so I googled "red head avatars" and clicked around till I found this one. I don't know what the squares are but they are driving me crazy as well. I do have red hair and green eyes, but not quite like the girl in the av.

3. Okay, deal. I'll hang around through the weekend.

We do have something similar to your jelly, the name escapes me, maybe conserve, like jam but with all the lumpy bits removed.
I may give it a try but I'll stick with vegemite.

Hows this?
(No pressure to use it, ok.)

I concur. Are you a crunchy or creamy fan? What kind of jelly?

I'm a crunchy girl. (Someone -- ahem, Q-ey... will most likely make an embarrassing joke about that sentence. I really ought to remember where I am when I say stuff like that. :D ) With strawberry jam, on wheat bread. Oh man, now I want one!

Here in the UK it's a byproduct of ale making and called Marmite but regardless, I simply cannot live without it.

Who would be on your laminated '5 celeb free passes' card?

What are your vices, the little things you treat yourself with or look forward to when you have 'me' time?

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful contributions and insight that you've have given. Your patience is outstanding. :rose:

What is the one thing you wish you could do (e.g. play an instrument, macramé, foreign language, etc)?

I have a tendency to get obsessive about a book when I'm reading it. I've been known to stay up late (or all night) to finish a book only to be sad when it's over.
I resemble this remark! :)

I do want to visit Disney World for Christmas sometime, but usually I just want to be home.
Absolutely, you have to go! Disney has wonderful decorations anyway - but they go all out for the holidays. I had tears in my eyes, watching the wonder on my kids' faces.

*gasp* Blasphemy! ;) PB& J sandwiches rule!

1. Would this be the 5 celebs with whom one can have sex and not get in trouble? Why is this such an easy question to answer? Literally, names are flooding into my head. Let's go with: Christian Bale (been a fan for more than a decade), Colin Firth, Edward Norton, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Alan Rickman.

*swoons* You have good taste in men, J!

I understand all of the first four and, frankly, I'd have a hard time saying no to Christian Bale, but Alan Rickman? Really?
