Thank you, Alana.
It went better than expected, according to the doctor, but about what I anticipated. They put in a nerve block during the surgery so that my arm is numb, including the left side of my neck and partway down my back on that side. They say that this will last about 14 hours, and then wear off.
In the meantime, I haven't been this free of pain in years! Most of the pain I deal with comes from neurological problems in my neck and upper back, but the shoulder nerve block works on all of it. Benefit- me! Yay!
Oh, they also said I may be a little 'loopy' for a while too.
I'm having rotator cuff repair surgery on my shoulder tomorrow, Feb 25th. Afterwards, they tell me I will not be able to use my arm for a while. I had thought I'd be able to cheat a little and at least type with it, but they tell me otherwise.
To all my co-writers and online friends, I still plan to be around, perhaps as a lurker, or one handed typist, but I beg your indulgence on the slowness of any replies to role plays, threads, or chat during this time.
Thank you, Alana.

I finally received a call I've been expecting and dreading this morning. My uncle lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and passed away yesterday. I'm going to be gone for a few days as I head out of state to attend his funeral. I should be back to Lit within a few days.
This was hardly unexpected. He was diagnosed over a year ago with a very poor prognosis, and had been terminal for some time. I've had time to process with and deal with it.
Having had some rotator cuff issues lately myself I hope the surgery takes care of everything you were expectingThank you, Alana.

To my dearest co-writers,
My life has suddenly gotten busy. And I find myself with a shortened time frame in which to post.
However, I beg your patience, because I have no wish to drop any of my threads. If you would allow, I would ask that you give me time in which to post. They are coming, if much slower.
If this is not something you are willing to do, then please PM me, and let me know.
Thank you all,
Aus.
To my darling lounge denizens,
I will simply not be around as much, however, I do think you all shall manage just fine. Many kisses to those who are near and dear, and I be around. I promise.
Kisses!
