I have played but the sub-drop and confusion was too much for me. I get to emotionally involved in my head to 'play' at letting someone tie me up etc.

I only submit to Him, and it would be very difficult for me to share Him or myself with another on His say so.

I don't think i would cope emotionally well with it, nor the concept that by 'playing'with another i am still submitting to Him.
At the end of the day its still sex (or a form of it) with another person ~ not HIm.
Hope that makes some sense :)

So, let me ask you. Is there a difference between submitting and playing? Do please feel free to post your opinions.

For me, there is a huge difference. I have only ever submitted once in my life. Willfully and joyfully but fully. That was 4 years ago (well almost 5 now). Submission is NOT integral to me, it is not a part of my make-up. So the things I have tried, the people I have met, the scenes I have experienced have all been in play (from the masochistic point of view) since my Lady and I parted ways.

(On the other hand I have never played at dominance. That is integral to me, and my ex petlings and I took our relationship as far as it would go, together. We played together but the relationship itself was serious)
