Morning Gang.

Went to the ballgame yesterday. The temperatures were fairly moderate and there was a little breeze and with cloudy skies it promised to be a wonderfully comfortable day for baseball.

With a wonderful seat behind home plate, I had a great view of the Negro Leagues pregame celebration. Lots of old timers were present and Minnie Minoso threw out the official first pitch. (If you don't know who he is, he was the American League Rookie of the year in 1951 for the White Sox.)

Being the 60th anniversary year of Jackie Robinson's entry into MLB, The Royals chose to wear the 1945 Monarch's uniforms (the only year Jackie played for Kansas City). The Royals manager and coaches wore number 22, in honor of Buck O'Neil (first black coach in the Major Leagues), who passed last summer (it was his Monarch's number). 20,000 fans got the cap from that year.

The coolest thing occured just as the game was starting. They had a young fan on cam who called "Play Ball". The players and the umpires were in place and just as the home plate umpire stepped behind the catcher for the first pitch...........

The Royals apparently had arranged with a higher power to magically turn the sun on at exactly that moment. The entire stadium was suddenly bathed in bright crisp sunlight for the opening pitch!!

even Mr.B escaped yesterday and he hasn't done that since last October...I found him hiding under my clemantis in the front yard....Didn't know he was there till I heard rustling sounds coming from the bush...he would peek out and then go back under....he looked so dam cute! I went an got the camera and a package of his squishy food an sat on the front steps waiting....he gave up eventually...

Just so much stuff to handle and lack of connected touch sets me on edge...

R has made a couple of comments lately..."Why are you so mad Mom?" ...yeah I usually roll with stuff pretty well so he is not used to seeing me a bit "unbalanced"..to put it potitely

Glad things are looking up.

I know how the kid feels. It throws you off if someone is acting WAY out of character. I know I have one relative who everyone is shocked if they act nice and friendly.

A bit tired and flustered, Macx. As usual I leave things for the last minute ... and wasting almost a whole day yesterday, occupied with the new machine, wasn't exactly how I had planned it
Anyway, my niece arrived safely on Sunday, she and my daughter are already on excellent terms.
I'm expecting the ironing girl shortly, then off to the store for things to take along to Aegina.
Tomorrow morning I'll probably take the girls out shopping and in the afternoon I'll rearrange my potted plants into groups that will allow for easier watering.
Thursday I'm taking the car in shop for a check up and in the afternoon I'll do the packing.
Friday we are off to Aegina for two weeks.
