Heavens, sounds like a full day - or two...

I imagine you are looking forward to the vacation. But they sure can be a hassle getting everything lined up.

My brother is buried in tasks and worries with his daughter getting married. Trying to get as much of the family up to Michigan as can make it. To top it, that's his baby, and he isn't quite sure how he feels about her getting married to this fellow... he more or less comes from a silver spoon. As he puts it after a bit of stammering around, "...he's just not one of us..."

I tried pointing out that I haven't been "one of us" for 20 years with the office job and all. But he maintains that I paid my dues, and this dude can't even shovel dirt.

I can imagine you taking care of business, efficient, authoritative, and looking a bit harried as deadlines approach and items aren't getting checked from the list quite fast enough... :)

Oh Dear dear a member of our family is having trouble...we will do what all families do "Rally round"...hold them in our thoughts and prayers.....extend our hands, hearts, and arms to hold them...

Yeah he might have your ass for letting us know Macx...but we all "get by with a little help from our friends"...lord knows I wouldn't have made it this far without mine..

Nor would I. Friendly banter and laughter has brought me back out of dark holes more often than I can remember.

Good morning little Bit... :)

And hold him up we will...

So did you get this cranky shit straightened out or is the cat still looking for a bush to hide under? ;)

You are going to sound like Ran in another month when it comes time to start getting your act headed West.

Ah, there's my song... "Poor Boy's Delight" on the radio... In my mind it is, "Dance With Me Annie" I am working on that song, it is getting better and better.

I may try to start recording it today.

This sitting round the kitchen table having a cup with friends in the morning centers my day. Somehow keeps me a bit grounded. There's other folks in the world besides me, and we're all walking thru an acre of shit...

Love you guys...

What and where is Aegina?

Aegina is an island, very close to Athens. Half an hour by fast ferry, one hour if you are taking a car along...

http://www.greeklandscapes.com/maps/aegina.html

We've been there quite a few times during June or July, mainly because it's very close to Athens and NG can travel back and forth easily whenever work calls for him to do so.

Wow, neat pictures. There was one of the city as you were getting closer to it, that looked like it could have been a collage of world history... all the different architectures from all the eras all built into one place.

That looks like a good vacation spot - hard to come up bored in that place, I imagine.

Aegina is so close to Athens, the architecture resembles more that of the big city rather than typical greek island.
As I've said several times before, definitely not our first choice as a place to vacation at... there's any amount of much prettier islands over here... but Aegina is conveniently close to Athens, meaning that NG can commute real fast if work calls.

Thank your for your kind words everyone......

Dont really want to go into things online...but one of my family members, got hit out of the blue with a tradgedy.. it was a shock to all of us.

Things are working out as well as they could be under the circumstances, and we are each doing much better.

You have been very supportive, the pm's and emails have helped me get back on track.

I hope everyone has a great Holiday with their family. :)

Would you like some French vanilla creamer with that? It is the only milk product I keep in the house...

Minx... I've seen that name a few times. As you are probably aware, I don't do much traveling on this board. Kind of a stay at home kind of guy I guess...
