My brother used to take his bong and fire it up and load a grocery sack full of smoke. Then he'd grab his cat and stick it in the bag and hold the top closed. Like just now, I just picked up this week's practice guitar (Each Sunday the guitars have a little contest, vying for my attention, to see which one will get to hang out in the studio and be my practice guitar) and started picking Poor Boy's Delight, for some reason I started it in the key of D, instead of G, playing the little banjo run hook that they use. It sounded interesting, not right for the song but interesting - I kept it up until it dawned on me that I could use it as a melodic hook in the song Long Black Veil. So I tried it and it was cool.

Things keep going like this, and today could be real interesting...
