Alvarez has quite a few "named" guitars. They are not so much special edition, but they are special builds... this one was produced from '82 to '87, and became known as the Ash Festival. It is made out Ash, top, sides and back, and the laminate on the headstock. It had a brass nut, saddle, and bridge pins to help brighten the sound and increase the sustain of the wood so it behaves more like rosewood (the king of guitar tonewoods).MaverickMan said:It is a beautiful guitar! The maple guitar I call Norma Jean was a named guitar also, the "Fox Hollow".
