Slept in... sorry.
Gimme a sec here.
Okay - the coffee's started. It should be done in a little bit.
I was up till upteen oclock working on an accompanyment for Dance With Me Annie. Trying to get it down so that I can start recording it. I've played it close to 30 times now, and I don't think I have done it the same way twice. That means that it is usually filled with mistakes as I try to crawl out of whatever hole I've dug for myself...
Coffee's done... good...
Good morning Punkin![]()

That could be interesting... perhaps a bit busy if one couldn't find a number of voices for some to concentrate on.
Let's say that I set the collector/investment side of this seeming insanity aside, I can make a defence for quite a number of the guitars.
First, there is the resonator guitar and the 12 string. Each is a uniquely voiced guitar and will have a supporting role in a number of the songs that I record, and perhaps do live. As is the Telecaster with the Roland 100 - that may end up being my Tuesday night rig - a honky tonk setup and if I get involved with a some of the guys with a band (it has been suggested) this will be the primary axe. One more, the 6 string banjo. This has a big future and a unique sound. One reason for selling a off a part of the collection is to upgrade this instrument. I have a sound in mind, and the current instrument is not producing it. But, that is 4 of them.
Now, their is finger picking vs. flat picking. This will occupy two guitar's slots, at the very least. The two disciplines require different guitars. Sandy, the Koa WY1K is a finger picking guitar, as is the Taylor. The SLR80, Maggie is as well, but I don't like to play it too much. The flat picking guitar can be one of any number of guitars... the PD100 is one.
Let's say one and back up - that is 4 more.
Now, there is a tuning... Ornkey. This tuning is worth learning a whole new set of scales and chords for. It makes a unique sound. That little file I sent out last week is in Ornkey tuning. It is very similar to a banjo tuning, and it is perfect for either emulating banjo licks, or out and out stealing them. The bantar will most likely be tuned this way. And the FF60TSB will be the Ornkey guitar (un-named flame maple tobacco sunburst folk body guitar). One thing that is always a pain with alternate tunings is trying to move between the alternate and standard with one guitar. Once tuned Ornkey, the Fusion will remain in that tuning.
There is another tuning Dadgad, which is a primary tuning used in most celtic guitar so that carves a slot for yet another finger picking guitar...
How many is that? Ten?
So that makes the insanity only 13 deep...
Uh, you buyin' any of this? Gimme another 20 minutes or so, I can rationalize a bit more...
The real world fact that the Disability thing could be 3 or 4 months or longer is raising its head. That in itself says that some will be sold, and damn few more will be bought...
