LOL - you Easterners...

So what do you do after you get the toast and the glass in the air?

Is the toast buttered? I hope so - I don't like dry toast. Its like those chunks of stale bread that they put on your salad if you don't stop 'em. Whoever thunk that one up anyhow. Probably an Easterner...

Is there going to be anything in the glass? I hope I don't spill it if there is. And do we got to hold it up for long? I am old and get tired fast.

:) $

Ok so we will celebrate the mid-west way...we'll just get naked pour the liquor all over each other...put the tunes on and admire the full box  :cathappy:

I've been known to cheer under certain circumstances. It could make for an interesting evening...

Mav: (whispered in Beam's ear) Geezus, I wish he'd quit hollerin' "Ride 'em Cowboy!" everytime I get your ankles on my shoulders...

Beam: (whispering back) I know... the last time he hollered "Yippee" he scared the crap out of me...

Mav: Who's idea was this anyway?

Beam: I don't know, but it's the last time, that's for sure...

Blooze: Uh hey guys, you got any more pop corn?

:) $

Wow! Little Bit! You got so much done! You're such a good hand... :)

I, on the other hand, decided to concentrate on list preservation. If I had got a bunch of that stuff done, I would have had to mark up the list. You know, put a check mark in the margin beside the completed items. Or, if one is feeling multi-taskable, a check beside the items that are started and are currently in process, and when the task is completed, crossing the check mark with another line, making the mark and "X".

Of course, there are other ways of marking a list item as completed. You could draw a line through the text, preferred to just scatching the item out with repeated scribbling. One particularly fine method involves a colour pack of highlighters. A task can be marked and left readable. One can even develop a sort of status variable with the colours, pink as completed by sister, blue means brother did it... and so on. Don't forget to add a key explaining the use of the various colours else confusion ensue...

As you can tell, I am a list person. I like lists. Orderly lists. I take pride in my lists. I like neatly written, properly indented' outline types of lists - tasks and subtasks. If at all possible, I want the items listed in the order that they should be started. Completed is another thing all together, you can't always control when a job will be done - too much left to the fates and gods and such, but you have a bit more of a say as to when (or even, if) a chore will be started.

A well executed list is a thing of beauty. I like to step back and look at it lying on the table. Preferably a table that is not all a clutter with things that are on tables usually, nothing there to detract from the vision of the list. I turn my head one way and then the other. I look at the list out of the corner of my eye, from the bottoms and tops of my eyes. Different perspectives... let the eyes go out of focus. You can tell a good list.

And once list perfection is attained, it seems a shame to start marking it up. Lines and check marks - scribbled notes, phone numbers and times. Or the inevitable doodle when paper, pen, and a lengthy phone call are in the same proximity.

If one goes about it right, a well prepared list will serve on the following day, and perhaps the next. All you need to do is... nothing.

That's right.

Nothing.

And you are correct. This is my cute little way of saying I didn't do a damn thing yesterday but race my silly cars...

The coffee is ready...

:) $

I hope R has a better day today... :rose:

It's about time you got your BUTT out of bed!!! Good lord I drank half a pot already...I woke up at the ungodly hour of 5am....I don't want to get up that early unless I am catching a plane!!!

Heading out in a minute to get some grocery shopping done....actually what I need to get is more packing tape...but WTF as long as I am at the store might just as well pick up some groceries...

While I have had many offers from my friends to help..most of the stuff I need to do myself....Only I know what is important enough to either keep, throw out, give away.....

Only two places left to go threw....under my bed...GOD only knows what I'll find there...and my filing cabinet...but i got a head start on that a couple of months ago when in the process of searching out an important paper I threw a bunch of crap away...it seems pretty safe to throw away bank account statements from 15 years ago....and car repair bills from a car that is rusting away in the junkyard...LOL..the crap we keep....

Sounds like you got a heck of a lot done. Nice job but I hope you are not getting to stressed out with all the side issues you have had to add to your list.

Hope today is as productive as you want without the extra hassles.

I can't wait for September 5th either.

Hey, retirement should be for the things you love to do, right? :D

At least I know who to go to if I need a first class list of anything. ;)

Have a wonderful day, Blooze!

LOL - and here we have a case in point. After typing the somewhat lengthy list discertation, I decided to lay down and a bit and recover. I woke up about 5 minutes ago...

Ah well.

You guys all have a good day too...

:D

Not a good day today Punkin... Sorry.

Sorry to hear that it was not a good day. I do hope that it was just not a good day for recording and not more generally a bad day!

Thinkin about you! :D

I seem to have lost a couple of hours...I was cleaning out the file cabinet an time escaped me..well present time anyway...

Got caught up in the memories....geeze this filing cabinet contained all kinds of stuff...home repair bills, kids report cards and awards, birth and death certificates, tax records, mortage records, car records...and wouldn't you know it...some pictures...LMAO...freakin pictures are {ok correction here WERE all over the house} stuffed in all kinds of places

R visit to the doctor today they figured out right now he is the acute stage...he went from does he or doesn't he have mono..better do a blood test to rule it out..to in the course of a few days of having every symptom..swollen glands..his neck looks like the size of a football players...loss of appetite...tiredness...He seems to be handling it OK..resting a lot...his biggest complaint is not kissing his girlfriend.Doctor said the acute stage should last a few weeks...while the mono can linger in your body for months the worst of the symptoms should begin to clear by September.

Well I have grown tired ...the heat of the day prevented me from getting too much done...but I am pleased that this evening the file cabinet is empty...what's left is 3 envelopes....one for R...one for D...and one for me to take to KC.

Think I can manage tonight to undress myself, lock the door and tuck myself in...

Catch you all tomorrow...I still have 2 more days off!!!
