5 or 6 Black Russians... I surprised you could crawl out from under the table long enough to dance around much...

:nana: ;)

The effect is delayed.

First time I ever had one was on Canal street in New Orleans.... we and another couple had taken a long weekend to see the place... we only lived a couple of hours away then.

The other couple suggested them.. and we though it was a great mixture... hand 4 or 5 with very little side effects, hitting the jazz bars in the evening just before dinner. We supped at a place called "Antoines" excellent food then, btw, if it is still around (er.. I was only 20 at the time)

We all were feeling quite sober untill we had a couple of glasses of Chablis...

Because this was a fairly "classy" place.. we tried hard to keep it together... but Bill and I would look at one another. and start snorting ...trying not to bust out laughing. Luckily, the cast of a newly opened play was sitting all around us, still in their makeup and costumes...opening night had been a success I guess, and in a short time we were all haveing fun. We even had the waiter, a carefully practiced stuffed shirt, laughing before the evening was over.

Morning Chief.....Morning Family

Yup on my own this morning....things run pretty much the same as the other store except for the paperwork....some of things we did they don't do but they make up for it by doing other things. So silly I never could understand why we put the exact same figures on 10 different pieces of paper
Good Morning Little Bit! :)

Remind me to feed you some Black Russians when you come to visit... :nana:

We were lucky all evening, Bill was almost 22, and J who is a couple of months older than I, had just turned 21 a few weeks before (this was sort of a delayed birthday celebration)... We got carded in a few places but they always chose Bill or J... Bill's wife and I were still 20..

Heard some great jazz.. and saw some of the most atrocious floor shows I have ever witnessed

I was up in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1967 and they had an ole gal that used to dance on Saturday nights at this one bar. The band was a one man band. He had a 12 string guitar, and played a drum setup that ran a snare, a top hat, and a bass drum with his feet. Played a harmonica in a mic holder.

He had 3 full ledger books full of songs, he knew them all. And every Saturday night, a couple times a night, he would play the old Stripper Song, and that ole gal would come out twirl her tassles. Left, right, then both to the inside, and to the outside.

I was there the night her boobs had a wreck... the tassles flew. Idaho Falls is a Mormon town. They almost shut the place down over that.

But that ole gal dancing to the one man band...

*sigh* them was the good ole days...

My computer is not slow, it's 9:35 pm here DiJ, rush hour, just about everybody is connected.

Glenn Morgan is terrific, I liked the tune and his playing is so melodious.

The Chieftains, no, I did not like the tune.

Clanc's ballad I loved.

One to go :D
ahhh yes, I've had that problem before....although not since getting off dial-up.

He is my favorite artist of all time. He actually said if I get good enough with my playing I can do it with him some time......although that may be quite awhile since I don't even practice.

hmm...well ya can't win 'em all. I found it quite moving myself.

He plays a different tune than I've heard for that song, but its still good.

I love those guys.

They got me up on stage last year and juggled flaming torches around me. I still have the T-Shirt to prove it.

The video doesn't show even a small part of what they are really like. There are lots more of them on there, but they are, ofcourse, best live.

Morning Family!

Found out I get to go get rotorootered on October 15th. They have their two main angioplasty doctors in-house on that day. Back-up is a good thing to have. :D

I'm loving the new loveseat recliner. Nice for cuddling. And the new TV is awesome. Spent the evening watching country music videos.

Coffee is on! Have a great Thursday! :D

Wowzer!

Another one!? Did they find these the other day, or did they know about them and were just trying to get it timed to the Doctors?

At anyrate, I'm sure it will all go well and you will be feeling better than you have for quite a while after it is done.

:D $

They knew about them from the beginning. What they didn't know was if the heart muscle in that area was viable. Turns out the test on Monday said it was viable and the 15th was the first day the two docs were going to be in together.

The one they will be doing is totally occluded so they actually have to mine the plaque out like a rotorooter. There is another partially blocked one that I didn't hear about when they told me the news about the new procedure, so they may do it as well. Just don't know. More detailed info when we get closer. :D
