The ice storm has started here,don't know yet how bad it is going to get.My early morning flight has been canceled and rescheduled for a few hours later so I won't be meetin my son in Atlanta and flying home with him.I hope to get out sometime tomorrow..it will depend on how much ice we get..trying to just roll with it..Mother Nature seems to be in control at the moment

My older son will be in NY today,he was able to fly out...my flight has been canceled till Wednesday so I won't be able to see my son till after the surgery..at least his older brother will be there.

We still have freezin rain here

Hope all the quiet means nothing big is going on.

Wasn't able to be on yesterday because I had a LOOOONG day at school. I got there at 10:30 in the morning and was there until 6:30 at night.......by the time I got home I was asleep before I hit the bed.

Hope everyone is well and if you all need to be a bit warmer then come out here and visit. I'm sure its warmer here than there.

I was in Hartsfield long enough to get off one Delta Plane an onto another...it was close...

Been a long day....R went into surgery later than expected and it was a bit more involved then they expected.He had a few problems with some of the medicine they used to knock him out with making him very sick to his stomach.He is home now resting..a little green around the grills...but he is smiling having his whole family around him.

Snow waited for me to arrive..expecting 6" to 12" inches staring tomorrow morning.All the aggravation of getting here was worth it to have R say "I missed you Mom"..yeah...oh yeah...

Mav has been under the weather so he hasn't been on...

Anybody hear from the Chief?????

Talked to Macx this morning and he is still without power but he's hoping soon...

He said he does have heat and has been playing his guitars a lot more since there is little else to do. Also told me the street looks like a bomb went off and he doubts there is more than one tree that hasn't been trashed (an old scrub oak).

Seems RJ will have to have his new kidney removed because it has quit functioning. They are talking about next week.

Hey everybody - don't pay the ransom, I escaped!

Man what an ordeal... I can deal with the dark, the lack of refrigeration, central heat, no TV... but no Internet for almost 6 whole days.

SIX Days!!

It is best not to get too excited about it tho. Another big storm is coming in tomorrow night.

Hey there Little Bit, it is good to hear about R - that everything is taken care of. You guys should get a good chance to visit with each other. That's one of those priceless things on the list...

The kids (RJ & CJ) had talked it over with all the surgeons last night and had cashed in their chips. They were both good with it. Things would get back to normal. The kidney was to come out Saturday. Then all of a sudden it kicked in this morning. RJ is peein' like a race horse. So now they have cancelled the surgery to remove the kidney and have scheduled some more test and try to figure out wtf time. This bouncing around is harder than a hard decision either way. So, for right now, the kidney is a go...

I have decided to reclaim the master bedroom - bought a new mattress and bedding today so I got to go assemble all that before bedtime. The Nick unit has been staying with me throughout the electrical disaster and will be staying until we find out what this next storm is about - so, if I don't want to sleep in the chair again tonight, I got to get the new bed put together.

Getting back into that bedroom is not going to be a trivial task... It has been a catch all for stuff that still needed sorting and extraneous guitar parefenalia since I decided I didn't like sleeping in there alone. I figure there's at least 4 trips to the local dump just in the first pass.

One good thing about saving some of the sorting till now is that the need to sort has more or less passed. It all goes to the trash!

I am SO PLEASED to come home and hear the good news about RJ....the poor man life must seem like a roller coaster ride..so many ups and downs...I hope and I'll say some extra prayers that it all straights out...and he continues to pee like a racehorse

I became a Great Aunt yesterday...ok not as good as becoming a grandma but not bad..not bad at all. A new member joins the family at Christmas.

The visit to NY went well...well except for the snow...got out in the nick of time... big storm blowing in tonight.Airport was jammed with people who wanted out of town early. Many flights were overbooked and they were looking for volunteers to give up there seat in exchange for a later flight. I DID NOT Volunteer..nope...if the storm is as bad as predicted it might have been awhile till I could get out.I love my sons but I was missing my man.

It has taken R a few days but he is starting to feel better.The recovery won't be as quick as the last but hoping this was the last surgery that will be needed to correct the problem.

Did me good to see my sons and my friends but HOT DAM it's good to be home.
