Good mornin' Little Bit! :)

Nice morning here too. I got introduced to it quite rudely, I thought. I heard the trash truck on the street at the head of our block.

Damn!! I thought they weren't running today because of Christmas.

Cool!! I had a bunch of trash that needed hauled off anyways.

So I was all assholes and elbows trying to get my slippers and a jacket on while chargin' around the house trying to gather up any trash that needed emptying.

Dipshit Audrey got to wonderin' what all the commotion was about and was chasing after me, meowing away. She managed to get underfoot and stepped on twice, which put her to yeowling and me to cussin'...

I got the trash containor to the curb before the truck got on our block so all was well.

Except for Audrey. She hopped up on the desk and turned her back to me - "Gave me the Ass" as RJ puts it. I don't think she was hurt during the fracus so much as her feelings were hurt that I didn't drop everything and cuddle her after stepping on her the first time.

Go figger...

Have a good day at work Punkin, and congrats on the two days off!!

:) $ :rose:

.

Five days off, and I am busier than when I was working:rolleyes:

Morning Blooze,

It is great to see things are rolling smooth there in OK. Hope you will give Sarge, RJ, and the family best wishes and Christmas greetings from us. Wish I could stop in for coffee and cookies..but it's packin' time and then a quick trip into town to pick up a few things before we head out...

Hope to be able to call around noon or a bit after if you are around..an catch up on news. (ain't cell phones great?:D)

In case we miss you some how we wanted to wish you and miss N a very
Merry Christmas

Oh, I forgot miss Audrey...anyway...try to find something to celebrate with something better than a holiday burrito....your supposed to save the bean farts for Ney Years day:eek::D

Okay, I'll hold off on the grocery shopping till after ya call...

You guys have a safe trip and a merry, merry time up there with the new grand kid and his first Christmas...

;D $

Merry Christmas Morning Chief and Family:heart:

Heading off in a moment to have brunch with friends

Best Christmas present I could ever have is spending Christmas Morning with my man.I made myself a promise last year that if it was at all possible THIS year I would hand him his present in person....sometimes wishes do come true

Love and Hugs and Kisses to you all....well a few naughty gropes too...just cause:devil:

I hope all of the Family have had a wonderful Christmas, are well fed, well rested and smiling :D :rose:

I Second That!! It is my hope as well. :) :rose:

CJ got to spend a day without a single emergency. Her energies were required nowhere and by no one. She spent a bit of time confused - like she was letting something slip. Then she played a new game with little C, and helped RJ fix dinner for the four of them.

The Four of them. All home together. On Christmas.

***

The Nikster, her grandmother, and I had a nice relaxed meal as well. Ham and Taters and Grout, or something like that - it tasted better than it sounded - and an excellent Apple Crumb tart for desert (I managed to escape with its remains, and they await the me and my very next cup of coffee...)

I was relieved. There was only joy that RJ was home with his family. There was no pouting. I took my guitar (the Ash Festival) and puttered around on it while we talked of Anne's relatives up in Colorado and Western Oklahoma. Well, Anne's Mom talked, I listened. Mostly I puttered with the guitar...

We had a good time. Laughing and talking.

***

Later that evening, amidst hugs and promises to do this more often, I made good my escape.

Audrey was glad to see me, and followed me around, chattering and chirping, seemingly in response to my tales of the day. I was finally able to get into my chair. I covered my legs with an afgan, not to ward off the chill so much as to allow Ms. Audrey to wander around my lap and play squishy paws while I scratched her ears.

And then, just before dropping off into the obligatory post-Christmas-meal-nap, I thought of my beautiful Annie. The way she would obsess over her lack of skill at wrapping. She couldn't get the paper on smooth and tight. I offered that it wasn't a fault of hers, but that it was inherent with being a South Paw. That would piss her off.

I talked to the room while I scratched the cat's ears.

"Well, we made it Babe. By hook or crook, we are all together and everybody seems to be happy."

Tears tickled my cheeks as I finally drifted off to sleep...

***

Well here it is. Let the lame duck session begin. I think most businesses should shut down till Jan 2. If your job involves a cube and a computer - most definitely. Nothing of any value ever gets accomplished on whatever work days fall between Christmas and New Years.

Yet, on the home front, chores abound. I my case, the cupboards are showing more shelf than they have in ages. The ice storm in cahoots with the season have conspired to put me behind the chore eight ball. I am sort of resolving to try to ammend that today. We'll see how it goes... :)

Well, the coffee pot is making its comforting "I'm all done" gurgle. There's still some of that Tart left. If ya hurry...

:) :rose:

Oh dam...bet I'm too late for the tart...

Morning Chief...Morning family:kiss:

Sounds like a nice day was had by all yesterday.

We had brunch with friends yesterday then came home kicked back relaxed.

You're in luck - there's still some of it left. That is one sticky SOB - definitely not finger food. There's some paper plates in the cupboard over the microwave, some plastic cutlery in the glass over by the toaster. If you insist on the real thing, then you got to wash 'em. :D

Good Morning Little Bit

It is so neat that you got to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with your man. I am so tickled for you!

It also really cool that you have today off. As I understand it, this is one of the retail days worth missing if you are a retail worker bee...

But then again we are going to be shopping the next few days looking for a video camera.Mav is heading to see his Mom next week to celebrate her 90th birthday.I'd like to have that on video,R is graduating this year,I have a new great nephew, hope to do some traveling....

My sister has had a video camera for years and has captured some precious moments and memories...the most priceless are of my parents.Pictures are wonderful but to be able to hear there voices and facial expressions, well those are really priceless

Now pass the tart honey so I can get all sticky!!!!

*Slips in quietly to suprise everyone*

Hey all, I'm finally back!!! *Dances for joy*

My power supply kicked the bucket on Friday, but that only took a day to replace, then my router decided it didn't want to wqork anymore so that had to be replaced too.

So I asked my brother to help hook it up again so I could get back here.

Funny all the e-mails I had waiting for me. One classmate was wondering if I was still alive since I normally am online at the same time as her and will answer an e-mail within minutes or atleast overnight.

Well I'm off school for a month. My last day was the 19th.

Hope everyone had a good holiday

Welcome home Blooze

*Big Hugs all around*

Good to see you back with us DiJ

I guess Chrismas wore out the Bloozeman....He must be sleeping in this morning.

Did you have a thunderstorm their or something...it sucks going in to get online and the computer just gives you one of those blank stares:rolleyes:

Happy recovery/preparation week everyone...
Hope you all have a good weekend and a wonderful finish to the year.

whoopsy... sorry

Actually, I have been up and have been going over the software to the data translator that I wrote for BSI - they pinged me yesterday evening and asked if I would review an issue that they are having. It is not a trivial application and the only other people they have that could work on it are too busy with other issues.

This is cool. I hope it turns out to be more than a PDU phone call. Or if that is all it is, that they tip big... :D

So my head is all a spin... got to get back into programmer mode.

Hope everybody is doing good.

Didn't know you had trouble there DiJ... but it is good to see that it has passed...

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that's where you have been WORKING!!!

Well there was a whole bunch of wasted perusal and anticipation. It was a PDU issue, and the problem was solved in 5 minutes over the phone. They were not aware that I had built a special compiler to build any lookup table into a distributable file.

Probably won't even get a tip. Unemployed again...

Spent the day kicking at the goads. My heels aren't quite bloody enough - think I'll go kick 'em some more.

Y'all go have a good evening.

:D $

Good to be back El

Nah, no thunderstorms. Technology just doesn't seem to like me. I didn't even get to try the online part. The noise the powersupply made freaked me out so much I turned it off immediately. You know you've run into unfamiliar territory when you hurry to turn it off and say "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

The new router runs a lot slower too so I'm having to adjust.

Hey, you ought to lay off the nads. That shit hurts.:eek:

You couldn't come up with the line, "Oh, damn, this could be expensive! Might take me a week with my schedule. I could cancel some stuff if you could come up with some cash to cover."";)

Have a nice evening yourself. In other words....lay off the nads.

Nothing - one of those clear cold mornings when the humidity is low. The Sun is doing its "I'll make you look like gold" trick on everything. This is a camp fire morning if there ever was one.

Hay Mav... wrong goads. :D

I start today with a philosophical outlook that can best be described as "So what?" Just off the cuff, in light of RJ's and CJ's current trials, in spite of the guts and adventurous nature of Mav and Beamer, I feel trivial and whining...

But never-the-less, that is how I feel. Maybe it is conviction... I have not done what I know I could/should do. It doesn't matter, what the reason. I am firmly convinced that...

* I have had mine. I've used it up. There is nothing left for me.
* What ever is to come is going to suck.
* That some how or another I have done something that really pissed God off.
* I move about under His forebarence and the grace of those who love me.
* If left to his own devices, God would squash me like a bug.

If I had something other than false teeth, I think I would curl up in a corner and gnaw on my paws...

Today is not good day, nor will it be. I am cognizant of that. I can accept that. I can deal with that.

I can only hope that the time I have to live in this state is not long... yesterday is not too soon.

It would probably be a good idea to stay away from me today. Polly Anna pisses me off. I want to kick her in the twat...
