Okay, let's say we abolish the fed, federal reserve banking system and transfer ownership of the mints back to the federal government. Then we remove the 16th amendment and finally, for once, let the "people" decide what the best system for our society is. I don't believe in federal income tax at all, I think the system that was placed by the founding fathers should never have been allowed to be messed with.

If what people are saying is true then the 16th amendment and fed income tax is not a legal, enforcible tax and instead is purely voluntary on an individual basis.

As delicious as being tax free would be, tax is the price of citizenship. I may not like it, but it is a necessary evil. However, the government needs restructuring.

Sorry to join this thread late. I'm with some posters here, not too keen on the death penalty – there are just too many things that can go wrong. Having said that when you see some of the monsters around today it makes me wonder.

So, organ harvesting. I've long had this idea that instead of carrying organ donation cards people who wish not to donate their organs when they die should carry a card opting out. What I'm saying it that upon my death the state owns my body and have the right to dispose of it how they see fit. Those people who for religious reasons or whatever have the responsibility to ensure that they opt out.

I carry a card saying that any part of my body may be used for transplant when I die. However, my family have the right to overturn that decision once I'm dead. That is so wrong in my opinion.

Oh and just a little aside. I believe you can still get the death penalty in the UK - for acts of high treason or piracy on the high seas !!
