Thanksgiving Day Buffet! 2016

Your thread makes me smile....

I'm bringing .....jalapenos, sliced in half lengthwise, with the seeds scraped out, cooked salad shrimp added to each piece, and a slice of cheese. Finally, each wrapped with a piece of bacon. Cooked in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until the bacon is done. Serve warm. There are about 30 of them. (pics to follow)

Two of them, I added the seeds back in. They will be HOT. And I didnt tell anyone.

I'll be bringing these. And some practical jokes to the party. Prepare to be publicly pantsed. ;)

Hi everyone. A warm nod to the host and hostess.

You're very welcome! Yes please, we can sit and chat as well.

*walks in with apron on* I can't believe that you two are sittting around sipping wine, while I slave over the stove getting everything ready for our guests!!! *stomps away*

Cranberry is one of my favorite flavors. For the mimosa, it's simple. Half cranberry juice and half champagne in a glass with a sugared rim. Add two or three fresh cranberries on a pick as garnish. Lovely and delish.

Where do you want me, fitdaddy? I can help in the kitchen (though I'd probably screw everything up). I could set the table (but BFG's decorations are so nice...I'd probably screw that up too).

How about I sit in the corner and drink?! :)

Ummmm in case you didn't notice, look on the second shelf in the fridge and you will find that all the celery and onions for the stuffing has been diced and the potatoes have been peeled by BFG and I...... You're welcome:D

Good morning Mr. T! I can't wait to try those jalapenos, and see who get the hot ones!

Honey, I have had the sauerkraut and ribs in the slow cooker since last night. The sweet potato casserole in the other slow cooker there, see? And, I just put the ham in. Calm down, it will all work out. Promise.

Oh, I love the sound of that! I will have to put that on my Christmas list this year!

You can have some of this wine, Eva. There might be a bottle or two left. (That girly_girl really likes her wine! - I'm kidding! I slipped some in the wine cooler for later.)

Thanks for coming over and helping me!

I'm thankful for each and every one of my Lit friends. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Oh, the house looks beautiful, BFG! I'm just dropping off the pecan pie and green bean casserole and cranberry brie en croute, since I have to be at the fam's in a couple of hours. Sprinkle the crunchy onion rings on the beans and warm up in the oven for about 15 minutes, and bake the brie about 12 minutes til it's golden brown. I'll be back after the Cowboys game!

Happy Thanksgiving, Litsters!

I'd like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all those friends that are left here.. so many great ones have come and gone and I wish the best for them too. I'm not here much any more but I haven't forgotten the good times and good people that made it so much fun to play..

My woman spent all morning cooking to take over mom and dads.... having my son, my sister and her boys too. It'll be a great day together. Last year on this day I was in the middle of a life changing trip, and actually spent Thanksgiving in Vegas ziplining, sight seeing and a big ass steak at the Palace Station..... alone.

This year I've done all that and more and have absolutely found the most incredible woman to spend the rest of my life with.. For her, I give the ultimate thanks.

I hope everyone has a great day too.

Thankful for all of you bwatidul peeps, inside and out. Love to you.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone :)

Hi Y'all ~ Happy Thanksgiving!

Can I help BFG? I've brought my own apron...

I'm offering roasted caramelized sweet potatoes, seasoned with just the right amount of cinnamon and maple syrup and then puréed with a little half and half to make them creamy.

Any takers?

Also...I can help bartend. *kisses
