Speaking of retreads. My Geek story from last year is somewhere around 21k and the nerdy dirty girl main character hasn't even got to her astronaut training yet. This thing is going to be a monster if i live long enough to finish it.
Woooooo, for once I am ahead of the ballgame. Almost have my geek day story done. Just the obligatory 35 Lit page sex scene to write
I think I’m out this year, alas. This one and April Fools are my two least favorites, I think.
Chloe Tzang: Erotica, one pubic hair at a time.
See what you've done now, Simon? Now Chloe's going to write twice as much. Your one x 750 word story a month plan ain't going to cut it .Well, we could split hairs on that one, Simon, but one at a time seems good

I don't pretend that I am EVER going to keep up with Ms. Tzang. I just proceed at my own pace, whatever it is and however variable it gets.
I'm posting this thread to officially kick off the "2022 Literotica Geek Pride Story Event”. ...
The Rules are actually really simple
1. Have an awesome idea with some kind of geeky theme. Sci-Fi or Fantasy is the most likely category, but if you want to get geeky in any other category, you go for it!
3. Any geeky subject, any category, any length you like. But please, only stand-alone stories (if you want to clarify that, just ask right here in this Official Support Thread).
...
The spirit of the the thing is a completed, stand-alone story, yes. But if you had a completed work that was best presented in chapters (for reader convenience), then I don't think there would be a problem with that - but it should be complete, with all chapters going up in quick succession.By stand-alone stories only you mean I can't enter my novel in parts? It would have to be submitted as a much larger submission that includes all the geeky content?

The idea of the anthologies is to avoid a first chapter of a much longer, incomplete, story - which might take ages to write.
That's the kind of exception I was alluding to - a complete story released over a short period, within the spirit of the anthology.AspernEssling wrote a seven part story for the Tales of Leinyere event. A new chapter was released every two days, from memory. As it's not a competition, the normal rules can be bent slightly, I guess.
D&D-style gameplay would fall under this event, right?
If that's the case, would two different stories with the same cast of characters be eligible?
Nothing at stake?!? What about the Glory?Yes to both, I would think.
Contest and event parameters are interpreted very broadly. Since it's an event, not a contest, nobody could complain about any sort of unfairness. Nothing is at stake.
As long as each story stands on its own as a complete story, there should be no problem in posting both stories.
