Then it sucked! (Dealing w social security and my sister and Medicaid)

Then it was meh after that (wrapping up work and finding out there was a covid outbreak at my moms place.)

So all in all, I’m sitting at my kitchen, wrapping up work, drinking a beer at 6:14 PM, it was an ok day.

For me the same. I always feel so stuffed when I eat sweet things.

i jsut figured that's what you grew up with
we had a local bakery make a crueller
OMG - everyone in town loved them
sold out in hours every day
until they changed their recipe
not sure about anyone else but our family lost interest
same thing happened w/ a local Italian place
their deep fried mozzarella sticks w/ marinara were never the same. still brings a tear to my eye even though I couldn't eat either recipe these days

Totally right!
Taste is very well learned in the early stages of life. In my childhood (Europe) the donut wasn't available that much. So to me, it still is something special. For my nephew on the other hand, it's perfectly normal.
