Nice day. Our season is starting to wind down. And since it hasn’t rained much in weeks there’s not a lot of grass to mow.

I picked apples for my friend hunting on our farm. My neighbors kid came and helped. He’s five and told Me all about how much he loved kindergarten. Cute.

Cut up a bunch of kindling for sale at the wood stand.

Then we had a great afternoon w our fun neighbors. They created a really cool hatchet and throwing knife course in their woods. It’s like a trail with targets interspersed along it. Lots of fun. But I did lose one of my black throwing knives.

Then ran a few errands.

When we got back, I finally put down the grub kill.

Die grubs, die!
Doe voles, die!

My knives are the black ones, my neighbors knives are the really accurate ones!

OMG - cuteness overload!!!

But I did lose one of my black throwing knives.

Would it mess with aerodynamics, etc if you tied a blaze orange ribbon through the handle or center? Might help with post-throw locating efforts Similar to golfing with orange balls??? Just a thought

Overnight on the fridge, to be sure. The house should be civil sooner.


My electric bill is on the calendar to be paid on the 23rd.


If I want cool air this week, I can open the windows.

Good advice Wat - matches what I was finding online
I read it can take up to @ 24 hours - but also recommend you track the internal temperature for a while. Make sure it reaches 40F and maintains 40F
