The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Light like mild to wheat. I never had allergies until my daughter was born 11 years ago. It's hard to get used to.

I think you used to drop by and say hi to me in my thread back in 2007-2010ish. I remember your AV.

I’d get it checked out to make sure it’s not celiacs which can start slow but eventually knocks out your digestion.
I think physical stess and hormones can affect allergies.

Yes, I remember! Hi!

Wow! It's been forever and a day! Hello again. I actually went back through my thread wondering if I was just remembering it wrong, but got bored with looking for our posts. I never found it, so I wasn't a hundred percent sure.

I’m out too.

Really nice day. It was beautiful out and I took the day off.

Had lunch at Gronskys Milk House in High Bridge. Been going there since I was a kid. Classic breakfast (and ice cream joint). Ran some errands w Mrs Wonderer, helped her out w one of her gardening clients.

Then went for a walk on a rail trail.

Some archery.

Just nice. I didn’t work a lick. (Except
To help mrs wonderer)

Would love to hear the story about blackjack Pershing sometime.

Love that picture of Eddie Rickenbacker!
So, the story is when I was stationed at Ft Bliss, I had a squadron mate who I’d watch his dog when he’d go home. He lived in Dallas and would drive weekends sometimes. We became good friends and the girl he was dating at the time was a local girl.

Long story short, this girl introduced my future wife and I. Her grandfather was a butter bar Lieutenant on Black Jack Pershing’s staff! I have a copied picture I took from her memorabilia, of Black Jack and his whole staff, with her grandfather on the very end, hands on hips, totally not in military bearing🤣. All of them in period uniform, campaign hats, and jodhpurs. Her grandfather went on to become a Major Gen during WWII…a contemporary and classmate of Patton and others at West Point.

I’ll post the pic when I get back home, if I can find it. It’s been a long time and may be on an old computer…hopefully I backed it up. It’s a very cool shot. I was looking for it online but couldn’t find it. This would have been the period right before the Great War when they were chasing Poncho Villa around the southwest.

I search but only found this

Search is kind of uneven.Sometimes I nostalgia search old posts with Byron and only find a few but there were tons of them.

Unfortunately, there is. It’s gross.

When we had a new one put in, the excavator told us to clean it 2x a year. Of course I forgot about it and it caused an issue.

Lesson learned!
I can't even access my septic without digging. The county instituted a rule that all septic systems must be inspected every 3 years. The last time ours was done, they installed some kind of access so that we would only have to dig down to it ( about 12") and not have to uncover the entire top of the tank. That was about 4 years ago. I'm a year overdue on my inspection. 🙄
