Gunslinger Girl

I don't know anyone else where I live that likes anime, so I wanted to mention my favorite show, Gunslinger Girl. It's about terminally ill or badly injured little girls that get turned into cybernetic assassins. There's a fair amount of action, when the girls are out an assignment, but mostly the show is about the girls themselves and their handlers, and the different kinds of relationships they have. The handlers all have different approaches to training and raising stone-cold-killer little girls, ranging from brotherly affection to inhumane callousness. The dynamics are interesting. It's a serious, thoughtful show, and more than a little sad, but I can't get enough of it.

This one is called Another Lady Innocent. It is very sensual and softly drawn. The story seems to be about a wealthy family who has a very loyal group of maids who service them in various ways, especially sexually.There also seems to be a love story between Fay and John which culminates into her being with him in the barn with her personal friend and servant Sophia watching. There is also a very tender scene between Sophia and Fey near the end. The above clip seems to be just Volume 1 and there should be a second volume coming out I hope. Highly recommend it although I wish I knew more of the story.

Over View:
In the late 1500's, two rival clan of Ninja, the Iga Tsubagakure and Kouga Manjidani, are engaged in a bitter feud that has spanned for centuries. The fighting finally ends when Hattori Hanzo the 1st succeeds in forging a cease fire between the two clans by conscripting both into the service of Tokugawa Ieyasu (the man who seized power to become Shogun and form Japan's first truly stable form of centralized government). Regardless, hostilities and bad blood remain between Kouga and Iga, ensuring a tenuous co-existence at best.

Now let's fast-forward to 1614; Ieyasu has retired from power (although he still wields considerable influence within the government) and passed the torch to his son Hidetada. Unfortunately, a succession dispute has risen concerning which of Ieyasu's grandsons are destined to take up the reins of power when their father finally decides to step down. The various government retainers are beginning to take sides and the Tokugawa Shogunate is on the verge of tearing itself apart.

In order to solve the problem before it spirals out of control, Ieyasu orders the no hostilities pact between Kouga and Iga canceled and promptly commands each clan to send 10 of their best ninja to enter a ruthless and bloody competition of kill or be killed.
Each clan will represent one of the two factions supporting Ieyasu's grandsons; the names of their selected fighters recorded on two identical scrolls to be marked out in blood upon their death. The clan that slays the chosen ten of the other will be given favor for a thousand years while the grandson they represent will be pronounced the undisputed heir to the Shogunate. Prior to the conflicts renewal, Kouga and Iga's two young heirs (Gennosuke and Oboro ) were betrothed to each other in the hopes that their union would finally dispel their clan's long-seated animosity toward each other. Forced onto separate sides of a conflict they want no part of, Gennosuke and Oboro must now choose whether to kill the person they love or lead their entire clan to annihilation. Against centuries old hatred and the horrors of war, will their love survive?

Over View:
The plot of the series centers around three succubi, Carrera, Mercedes and Rati, who are summoned to Earth to capture souls, which are then processed into brilliant gems.

As the story begins, a nerdy boy named Ogawa uses an ancient text in order to summon a devil to gain revenge against those who have picked on him. When the devil turns out to be Carrera, however, he completely forgets the reason why he summoned her and instead has sex with her. He is unprepared for her huge libido, though, and by the time morning comes he is too exhausted for the succubus to take his soul. After this, the upper demons punish Carrera for failing to get Ogawa's soul. This leads to five days of imprisonment in which Mercedes and Rati satisfy themselves with her.

Meanwhile, a group of angels have noticed a number of missing souls on Earth. Concerned that the laws of reincarnation are being violated, the angels concoct a plan to capture and "purify" the succubi who are stealing the souls... Eventually, Ogawa manages to summon Mercedes, Rati, and Alpina ( the incubus) and rescues her. Later, we find out that the three succcubi have moved in with Ogawa and they will have sex with him forever.. .

The downside: First off, Rati looks like she's 5, secondly, the other 2 are named after cars ( no originality there), Alphina's existence is unknown. It's never mentioned, other than he get's it on with one of the angels apparently. Oh and the title of the hentai is named after a car as well. You never see the upper demons and we don't know what the soul gems are used for -_-"

Lucky Star

Opening Song ( and ending songs- Lucky Star does not have one consistent ending theme, instead using a new one in each episode; most of them are of theme songs from other anime and from tokusatsu television shows. Each ending theme in episodes one through twelve is performed as a karaoke by one of the principal characters. Over View:
If Lady Reiha could have her own anime, it would be Lucky Star! This crazy anime portrays the lives of several girls attending a Japanese high school named Ryōō with a very loose sense of humor. The setting is mainly based on the city of Kasukabe in Saitama Prefecture. The main character is Konata Izumi, an athletic and intelligent girl who, despite these attributes, is not in a sports club and has low grades. Her laziness at school is due to her love for anime and video games and lack of interest in anything else. The serialization began with the four main characters in their first year of high school: Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. As the story progresses, they move on to their second and third years. However, the anime starts the story with them beginning their second year. The storyline usually includes numerous references to popular past and present manga and anime series.

The downside: It actually has no real story line! It's just a bunch of parodies of many many popular animes! For example Lucky Star doing a parody of Haruhi Suzumiya with Konata pretending to be Haruhi. But it's crazy and isn't supose to many any sense.
