It is time to discuss, Our October 2013 BDSM BOTM, Blue: The Color of Desire by Patrick Linney and Susannah Indigo.

Who read along?

Who didn't?

Why or why not?

Was this BDSM to you?

Our November 2013 BDSM BOTM is Flirt (novella) by Laurell K. Hamilton read along with us!

Okay. I'll go first.
Blue The Color Of Desire by Patrick Linney BDSM 3.5/5

Did you like the book overall or not?

I did like it.

Do you feel it portrays BDSM in a real way, a positive way and/or your way?

As a fantasy, it did quiet well. I am a lover of words, writing and fantasies.

Did you like the sex scenes in the book?

I gots tingly, so, somewhat.

Did you like the rest of the book, the story in it?

Some parts were interesting to me.

Would you be interested in reading another book by this author?

Yes.

What did you like best about this selection?

The words and fantasies.
Also the girl was clearly consenting all the way through it.
She was conflicted at times too. I like to see that.

What did you like the least?

I'm not fond of the word, cunt.
It was too short.

How would you have changed the story?

I would have liked it to be longer, more detailed and develop more.

Just a reminder:

Flirt by Laurell K Hamilton

Did you like the book overall or not?

Yes.

Do you feel it portrays BDSM in a real way, a positive way and/or your way?

As is common with L.K. Hamilton's books I don't necessarily think that it shows bdsm in any way, but it does have kinky sex scenes.

Did you like the sex scenes in the book?

eh. She's done better.

Did you like the rest of the book, the story in it?

Yes, it was nice for the problem to be just one problem and not a conglomeration of a million problems. lol

Would you be interested in reading another book by this author?

Yes, but I like L.K. Hamilton.

What did you like best about this selection?

Hm. I thought the interaction between Anita and the rex of the werelions was humorous. I'm glad they added Nicky into the story line, but that probably has more to do with recent books where I've enjoyed his character.

What did you like the least?

I can't think of anything I didn't like, even though I didn't enjoy this book as much as I normally do hers. I'm not sure what it is that I didn't like, though.

How would you have changed the story?

Like I said, I'm not sure.

Great write up Beautiful Graceanne.

I can't find mine but I do remember liking it okay. It was just too short for me. I think LKH may have been writing about how the book happened. Which I found to be very much like bragging about her sex life and irritating. Maybe that was another book though. She seems so ME! ME!! ME!!! in her last half dozen books. As if now that she has a poly BDSM relationship going she thinks she has the world whipped. Makes me want to slap her a few times but then she might enjoy that. LOL

Don't get me wrong I continue to enjoy her books overall.

Yeah, I hear you. I had to roll my eyes when the one werelion told Anita that he'd put a sign over St. Louis if he could saying 'here lies a bigger mother fucker than you'.

Her ego bleed is greater than all the oceans in the world. LOL

Time to discuss Our December 2013 BDSM BOTM, Firebird by Annabel Joseph.

Here are my thoughts on this selection.

Did you like the book overall or not?

Yes, I did. I liked the setting of New York and the ballet corps!

Do you feel it portrays BDSM in a real way, a positive way and/or your way?

Yes, mostly, the characters were relate-able generally and fit together well in kink.

Did you like the sex scenes in the book?

They got my squirming for sure!

Did you like the rest of the book, the story in it?

I did. There wasn't much but the ballet and the BDSM but it was good.

Would you be interested in reading another book by this author?

Absolutely.

What did you like best about this selection?

The ballet backdrop, and the kink.

What did you like the least?

I was irritated about the girl being a petite dancer, just a pet peeve of mine. The red hair seemed a bit too pat as well.

I wanted the male to be more comfortable with himself and realize what he wanted quicker as well.

Quibbles.

How would you have changed the story?

I wouldn't have.

I can't find our July 2014 BDSM BOTM is Beauty (Outtake) by Laurell K. Hamilton does anyone know why?

I would love to see someone take over this BDSM BOTM Club here on or before October 2014 when our current book list runs out. I'd love to see someone inject new life into it. I confess, I've become very busy and also rather tired of BDSM books.

I hate to say it, but so have I. I read a couple of them this month, hoping to find something to suggest and ... bleh.
