The conversation thread

Yeah, well, no.

We are grown-ups.

Don't pile more stress on your plate by turning your presence here into a chore to please the people.

I like pleasing people sometimes, though, and it can help me de-stress.

But it's a good point, I don't want this to be a chore.

Your accent is barely detectable. Lovely.:rose:

Ha, barely. :D:D

Thanks.

Lit was a good distraction for me for a few years. Back then, I had the time. Life's busier now and sometimes I just don't have have time. Or energy - which sounds weird - but my brain can only take so much input.

It's fun to hear voices. Hope life evens out a bit. Thanks for the update.

It's so cool to hear voices! Don't stress about being here at all. I'm glad you're doing as ok as you can be. Good luck at work.

fara, puppies are exhausting. Then they have the teenage attitude months and that might be just as exhausting.

I'm glad everyone is doing fairly well. I got busy and haven't been on in a few days either. I'm going to try to take a nap so I can finish everything else I need to do today.

Sweet baby Jesus I'm glad to be home. Such a Monday today, and a long one at that, too.

I have to clock in some extra hours every day because I probably can't work this weekend. Friends coming over for dinner on Saturday! Really looking forward to it. :)

Why are Mondays so frustrating at times? Mine wasn't awful but it definitely wasn't great. Started of the day with some type of reaction of feeling all hot and getting itchy and just miserable. Didn't have stuff for lunch and woke up too late to do much for that or prepare a breakfast.

I hope you don't have to work too late each day, Seela. I'm glad you have a fun Saturday coming up.

All damned day.

Oh yes, I'm already spent like it's Friday and it's only Wednesday morning. Just gotta crawl through the rest of the week.

I retired 26JUN. I spent the summer, well having a summer for the first time since 1973. I started back as a obscenely highly paid consultant this week. I'm only working three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday), so my week is 2/3 done.

I am beat! This has been an awful way to start. At noon yesterdau they asked me to work the weekend. Ugh. I guess I should have been suspicious when they accepted my outrageous demands right away. I later heard the Division Manager said "Give him whatever he wants.". I should have asked for a purple unicorn. Damn.

I don't know what it's like to really even be well paid, much less obscenely highly paid.

This week just needs to quit with all the shenanigans. I'm exhausted and having strange reactions to food, medicine, allergies, whatever the hell is causing them because I sure don't know. I'd say that I'd rest all weekend but nope, got to have 2 meetings, do some long overdue paperwork, and cleaning, lots and lots of cleaning.

I think it will be weird to see people’s faces again. Especially people at the job I just started at. I really don’t see them without a mask.

That would be strange for sure.

Here masks aren't a thing, so something like that isn't likely to happen. About half the people wear one on public transport and sometimes you see someone wearing a mask when they're shopping for groceries or something. But it's pretty rare unless they're an employee, and even the employees don't usually wear masks.

Weather change is making me feel not so well. I think I may go to bed as soon as I get my last load of laundry hung to dry.

I had today off as well. I did not do one dang thing. Feeling a bit guilty because the goal was to do a few extra chores.

Trying to think of the day of do nothing as a win.

I worked a full day, got an hour of exercise in, then ruined all the productiveness with booze. Gooooooo Monday!

Doing nothing is an art...hold your head high! #slothlove
