The demise of discussion

I love discussions, I love thoughts into words. However even in our daily lives we all use emojis, gifs, text speak (I try not to but I do) it’s faster, easier. So posting pictures videos has become the norm.

Here is an example.. picture random and probably fake picture/gif/video of drop dead gorgeous woman here, having an orgasm (wishing mine came right on cue)
Got that in your head..

Now this..

I moaned softly as I felt his hands on my hips. My back arching as he pressed into me. First just his tip, he let me get used to it. I fought the urge to lean back and take all of him. Then just when I couldn’t take it anymore, he slowley pushed himself deeper inside me.

It seemed to just keep going, my eyes rolling back into my head, I just couldn’t stop them. The sharp flash of pain as he pressed into my cervix. That quick release of pressure as he slowley worked himself back.

Everything combining; Me being bent over my own bed, my bottom in the air. His hands on my hips (Love That feeling of being claimed, of being protected property, even if only for a few fleeting moments) his voice telling me about all the things he wanted to do to me, his rock hard cock deep inside me. My body writhing on his cock. My body shakes as my first orgasm rocks my body.

One will always be better than the other. I feel like Lit is a place for words. There is also room for pictures, but for me it’s the words that captur my attention.

So my vote should be pretty clear.

I have to agree, the spoken/written word may as well be on it's last gasp, unfortunately. The gif/pic/porn link has replaced it. Instant gratification has won out yet again.

Not of we keep on with this.

Scar, that was completely hot. Thank you.

I think Literotica will always be a site where the written word is preeminent. I'm aware that a large number of photo threads on Literotica and there are also some aural threads. The Bulletin Board, however, and all the other Literotica offshoots, grew out of the base of the stories. I'm sure almost everyone here initially found Lit from the stories. And while there are a few stories that are illustrated and there are aural stories (Text with audio), the written stories are the biggest draw.

Of course people can use a website or medium however they wish to. For example, I have a number of Tumblr threads I follow that are only written word. Still, it seems clear to me that Literotica is primarily a site for people interested in the exchange of words, phrases, and, upon occasion, even full sentences.

So post long and prosper.

Late to the thread. I kind of skimmed through, but to be honest I’m kind of lazy after reading insurance policies all day. I expect most threads these days to dissolve quickly. I don’t do picture threads, they just aren’t interesting. They kind of gross me out too. Same for people with obnoxious AVs or sigs, I put them on ignore. A closeup of your nutsack isn’t sexy. Just sayin’.

I come to Lit for the words. The discussions used to be pretty great to read. Somewhere along the way we stopped being able to have discussions though. Things fizzle out or some mod comes along and deletes threads because they think our tone sucks. The Board just isn’t very interesting without the snark or bite that seems to put fire under a discussion. Everything just seems... uninteresting.

:shrugs: I’ll just stick to cooking, nails, and random blurts until I eventually fade away.
