I haven't seen Artful around these parts lately. I wish I had a body like his av. I guess he does to. (Wishes he did, that is, not wishes I do.) I have been hitting the weights pretty hard since June. It's been an off and on thing for probably 4 years. I've always been able to stick with it for maybe 4 months and then quit completely for at least that long. And that sucks because weights are such a quantitative thing that your loss stares you right in the face.

Right now I'm pretty motivated to push the envelope. Not that big muscles are a prerequisite to being a Dom. But it does change one's psyche. For people who are naturally aggressive that could be a bad thing. But I'm pretty laid back.

I roughly follow the Body for Life program. 3 days a week in the gym for an hour or so, 3 days doing some kind of cardio, and 5 to 6 smaller meals a day. I've seen more strength gains than when I worked out a lot more often.

Hmm..seeing as how I'm stopping by and all...

I'm probably going to have to start putting in some work on the physique here soon. I'm finally getting to a point where my metabolism's slowing down and I can actually put on weight. Nothing very noticeable yet, but I can see it's out there. I could use some toning up now. Maybe it's even time to quit smoking for good.

I think it will start to shift a little more to the male side, but who knows. The Dead Thread was a pretty close knit bunch with a lot of verbose women. It didn't get as much visiblity as the forum which is still very young.

A few words on patience.

I read somewhere that in many men, dominate type desires and activities don’t surface until the middle or late 30s. The only reason I remember it is because it was true of myself. Some guys say they were born Dom. And that might be true for them. But in my late teens and early 20s, my whole sexual focus was on getting pussy. I had never even heard of bdsm. I guess if you told any 20 year old that he could be Dom for a day and have a woman serve him in any way possible, he’d jump on the idea. But the whole focus in his mind would be on his pleasure.

Looking back, I think an early clue that I would find this path was that most of my fantasies revolved around foreplay. Good morning folks .....

I hope today's a fine day your yall.

There's something I've wanted to mention here, but never seem to have the time, plus all the responses I'd have a hard time keeping up. Anyway .. here goes:

I've always considered myself a conservitive and for the most part I like the republicans in charge.

However, this really pissess me off. I've been watching Bill O'Reilly for a long time, and really like his show. Now, for two shows in one week, he's made an ass out of himself as he's touched on subjects that I know personally. One I won't mention, the other is when he bashed on BDSM sites and wants them all banned, saying the Internet is "public" domian and he basiclly says for all to just go into the basement.

It makes me so damn mad when he goes off on something he knows nothing about and claims he does. He "reports" on things he's researched on .. but yet .. on more and more occasions, he's got it all wrong.

This now makes me wonder how many times he's wrong before.

BTW .. I'm a registered Independent ... I don't like the stigma of party affiliation. I tend to like parts of different political agendas
