Hey Rooster;

I'm not in the USA, so this Bill guy is news to me.

But it's interesting to hear there are still people who think the Internet can be regulated...which of course is nigh-on impossible and therefore laughable.

Republicans used to be small c conservative theorists, yes?

Isn't their ideology founded on the premise that the government shouldn't do anything for people that they can't do through the private sector for themselves?

Are there elections coming up? This guy's tv contract due? Ratings sweep? Must be a reason for him to be "on about" bdsm out of the blue.....

Hey....maybe there's a picture of him gettin' some rear-guard action out there!

Lance

Here's his website : http://www.foxnews.com/oreilly/

Yes Republicans believe in a smaller federal Government ...

He always comes up with something that generally make some headlines. Not quite sure of his criteria.

I think it spured off of a story of internet preditors

You rock....if I were in a scrape in the RW, I'd want you watching my back.

I just had a look at the site....the headlines of the features on the main page seem to be mostly about the middle east, war, nukes and invasions of one sort or another.

Sounds like a scary planet that oreilly guy lives on.

It doesn't feel like that here.

Purity ratings

How pure do you like your subs?

I have to admit I have a fondness for first editions.

No matter what you say, it seems there's always one ready to dissect your post, muckle on to a word and fashion into a club to beat you with while telling you how you've hurt their feelings.

No wonder the men here say so little!

In terms of female vs male posts it's probably along the lines of 15 to one. With such a skew it's probably not a question of men willing to speak up.

WD,...I have been,...uh,...well busy! Glad to see the Dom Lounge. I too try to eat 5 or 6 light meals a day. I been <ahem> planning on starting an excercise routine, and now that I am involved with Dream,...I gotta! (WHEW)

I will give a little insight as to how I treat a NEW sub. Foremost,...is finding what they REALLY
enjoy most, if you wish to keep them, never give them ALL they want. Do your job well, CONTROL is the answer!

That's the problem I have with the Republican Party, for the most part. They talk about less government intrusion, then go right ahead and support more intrustion when it comes to "moral issues".

I say all or nothing. *shrugs*

Or maybe one that's only been thumbed through and scanned on occasion? lol

While there's a certain allure to the thought of despoiling purity (watch me toss out the big words today ), I have a fondness for utter depravity as well.

And woebetide if you should happen to tell them to chill out, back off or that they are..gasp..wrong....because there's guaranteed to be at least a couple more damaged ones, cruising lesbians or even a dom ready to slam you to score points with the women!

What's up with that?

No wonder the men here say so little!

I'm *this* close to going thermo nuclear...nobody gets away with haranguing me the way this lot of harpies does.

If they wanna see hurt feelings....I can easily stop being cute and start getting badass.

I will not respond to any females in this thread.

But I would like to hear from the guys what the frick is going on here.

I thought it would be great to meet a bdsm woman.....now I'm thinking it's far easier to turn a vanilla.....hell, I know it is!

Thoughts?"

Poor you.

trouble with money

WriterDom said:
There is no emotional attachment. I'm sure if she wanted to charge, they would pay. My guess would be charging would open up a new set of risks.

I would say that the trouble with money is that the customer gains control of the activity, even though they may be submissive, they become the one buying a service, so their demands decide the activity. That not only gives a new set of risks, it changes the whole mind set of the game, removing the joy factor completely I would think.

Must agree with some of this. Almost all the so called "sub" women I have met on the web are not really submissive, in fact most are "topping from the bottom" and are quite unatractively dominant. Now being a switch a female dominant is attractive to me, But, the subs who want to top from the bottom, don't want to top. I must agree turning a "nilla" is a much better arrangement, and perhaps the best for all concerned.

You can't turn a vanilla. Besides, women are the same, vanilla or not.

Do you Gentlemen mind if I interject?

I have been researching bdsm online for over 4 years - in chatrooms, BB/Forums, lists, groups - and I have to say that I agree. The vast majority of self-identified submissive women I have met online are not submissive, in my opinion.

I think of them as PPs (pillow princess', they want to lie back on the pillow and and stay there) not as submissives. They want the sexual/emotional attention on themselves exclusively and do not really have any interest in submitting.

~pardon my intrusion into your domain *smiles*~

Maybe it's the medium

I have come to the conclusion that perhaps it is the meduim of computers that does this. Just perhaps the type of women who use computers and are brash enough to post/read sexual forums are the more agressive of the female population. I am of idea that perhaps trully submissive females are not to be found searching the web or "Doms". The ones I have met are either very peculiar and looking for some ideal dom, I think no man could measure too, or they are really just looking for a husband. I am not saying there is anything wrong with either of these ideals, it is just that they are both unrealistic in the short term. It takes a very long time to get to know someone, and making unrealistic demands just causes all of us to remain strangers. I have met a few genuine matches , but alas the reside thousands of miles away. So for me the computer has given us alot of ability to comunicate, but it alas has not brought many of us together, and I have my days where I barely have the urge to post or read, thinking such a waste of time this all is. Pehaps as time goes on we will all learn better how to communicate on the web. There are such huge differences between men and women; partly due to social conditioning that it makes this a very hard medium to converse in. We all bring this baggage with us to our keyboards, and just like in the real world, it keeps us so far apart, it is like riding a bus, we are all just a keystroke apart, yet we dare not say hello!

Glad I found the lounge

Thanks Lance, I am glad I found the doms lounge. We can have such a lone wolf set of mind. It is great to meet others and share our common knowledge and ideas. I am glad others find the forums the same. Really hasn't been a very rewarding exsperience, not complaining, just trying to figure out why it couldn't be.

I think it's just an estrogen-centric place.

And too many grrls in a room as just as bad as too few.

I think that depends on how many men are in the room. Being a lone male in a room full of women really isn't all that bad... I guess they don't feel threatened by you or something. Being the only guy with any group of women is always a good thing in my book. :)

And hell... there's always that remote chance a sex orgy will break out with you in the middle... at least in my dreams there's a chance... lol

Yeah, well, if you have a dream of me in an orgy with the women here...drop me a PM so I don't miss it, okay?

Hmmmm....actually, let me think about that.

Can I control the guest list?

This is incredible. Lance, you are in almost every thread I have read this morning.
I have been hopping and jumping around this site, trying to learn how it works and what the jargon all means. But most of all, trying to lean the proper etiquette that this entails. Do subs not belong in this area? I could not really tell by the posts I read.
Someone maybe could let me know, please. :rose:

The intention was a place for Doms to escape the hen house for a while. But obviously, anyone can post here.
