The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

Dumb dick bag at work whines about putting product over by him so he has to work.
Dude we are slow. I'm not gonna take the shit to the other side of the bay so you can relax.

Drunk chicks always have the best advice.
Thank you, I think they've gone, but I'll try it next time.
I'll tell my wife I learned it from a drunk chick, I'm sure she'll find that funny. At least I think so..
I heard a story about a girl once who had hiccups for years. Last thing I knew, they were talking surgery.
Id have hiccups for a few hours and talk about surgery

Absolute torture! They went away, then when I got into bed, they started again. The wife had all sorts of crazy solutions for me.. I didn't tell her about the drunk chick.. Just didn't seem like the right moment.

A spoonful of peanut butter (if you're not allergic) or a spoon full of sugar works as well.
It sounds funny but it works. It relaxes your larynx . Works every time for me and learnt it from some drunk chick at a party 20 some odd years ago.

what works for me, every time, is swallowing three times without taking an in-breath.
i don't use water or anything, though i imagine that's why drinking water can sometimes help.

plenty of hay bagged and stacked in the garage before any bad weather comes through later in the week. Enough to see the chickens, outdoors cats and Rosie (the Great Pyr) through the winter months.

The ground is like a twice baked brick and H has been cleaning around flower beds and stuff. not fun.

Log slices out there waiting for splitting... they can wait a little longer till it's a bit cooler :)

Another rid of the hiccups advice: fill a glass full water. Put a knife in the glass and drink all the water.
It works for me. I think it’s because my brain is concentrating on the knife.

Guy 3 houses up from was found dead from a heart attack. He was 42? I thought he was older. He smoked and drank clearly.

Terrible..i feel bad for the kids. That's how quick it can go.

It's crazy how the same lifestyles, can have drastically different results. My father in law, has smoked a couple packs a day, for the last 65 years. He's been a heavy drinker for about the same amount of time. The alcohol, really doesn't effect his life. I'm sure it dose in some ways, but not what you'd think of a heavy heavy drinker. The man is in his early 80s and still golfs 36 holes, 3 to 4 times a week, does all his yard work, Cooks, cleans and household projects. He just replaced all the windows on the south side of his house, this summer. He's on no medications, has no ailments and recently got a perfect bill of health from his doctor. Not that he goes to the doctor, doesn't need to. The man hasn't been sick in the last decade. I think he's a time traveler from the future and secretly knows the cure for every modern disease.

Yet, your neighbor dies at 42, from life.. It certainly not luck of the draw. There's reasons behind it, genetics. It'd be nice to know at 20, if you are predisposed to this. Not that it would change most 20 year olds decisions, it certainly wouldn't of changed mine.

It might give you a different outlook if you knew your expiration date.

This shit doesn't help my anxiety over it though.

Some people win the genetic lottery.

The genetic lottery is alive and well in my family. Dad and one aunt died at 63; an uncle at 84, and the other is still on the go at 86. My grandfathers died at 92, and 93; grandmothers at 76 and 88. Most of the men smoked as youngsters, and drank moderately heavily throughout their lives. OTOH, the wife's nephew woke up dead at 39 a month ago....

I was the only one at the station this morning.

People are stupid to line up for gas if it's a penny a liter lower at a station.

More like a .30-.40 cent drop. Groceries have been sky high here. People are pinching pennies

Question for my elder statesmen.

At 47, I am tired of being horny, and wanting to fuck all the time. When does the desire end? When is this going to stop?
