The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

My daughter live near Manhattan Beach, she's far enough away, so far. She wants to stay as far away from that as possible. Other than walking on the beach and watching the smoke choke out the view, She told me, last night was "absolutely nut bags!". She's lived there almost 15 years and has never experienced anything like it. Even though she's 12 or so miles away, with those winds, she's keeping her eyes glued to that part of the sky. Smart cookie.

The fire doesn't care about traffic.......
You'd be surprised. Having lived here all 49 of my years I can tell you that traffic is an unavoidable force of nature.

But the wind is pushing in the other direction. I just have to worry about some fucking pyro starting one out here in the boonies.

I hope all of our southern California folks are ok.

By “our”, I hope you are excluding all the anthropogenic climate change denying sociopaths like James Woods.

Woods actually had the nerve to go on CNN of all places and cry about his loss.

😑

Sometimes I just want to say “These fucken processed food videos make me sick. That’s why you’re obese, you fat shit.”

But I don’t. But that’s what I’m thinking.

Life Expectancy in the USA is declining.

National Suicide Pact.

5 nights ago, 2 of our cats went missing.... 2 of the 3 indoor/outdoor ones, same evening. They'd been outside in the sunshine but didn't come in as it grew dark. We were thinking coyotes or something, since we lost a few chickens recently. Today, one of them reappeared no worse for wear except some weight loss, so I'm thinking she must have got caught up in a neighbour's shed or garage or whatever! Still no sign of the big ginger, tho :(

Sorry to hear. Hope the big ginger makes it home safe.

How is the newest addition Digit(s) doing?

Ear is blocked and not in a good way where I can't hear the wife talking about something meaningless. This whatever I have feels like it's going the wrong way

Still no sign of Harry (the cat). Digit's doing fine, growing like a weed and sees himself as a brilliant catcher of birds and mice... doesn't eat them, but is so proud of himself. Today, he ran out into the snow (about 4" deep) and refused to come back in for over an hour. He was having so much fun racing around in it, biting it, stalking the birds and generally thinking he's a big cat in some snowy wonderland.

As for Prissy, his mum who went missing and returned, she's parked herself in front of the gas wall heater in the hallway and hasn't moved from that spot except to poop and to eat—and her food/water bowls are about two steps away from where she's parked so not much, lol. She doesn't like the cold and it looks like she's intent on staying as warm as she can be. The fact that the spot she's lying down on is dead centre of the hallway and we have to step over or around her to get to the bedroom or bathroom is not her concern. :)

Here’s hoping Harry (the cat) makes it back home safe and sound.

👍
