Socialist countries exist. If your argument is that socialism doesn't work, then it shouldn't work in any capacity. It does. It may not work how you want it to, but plenty of countries have socialism as part of their country makeup that are functioning quite fine.

I have often wondered why anyone would be drawn to an economic system that could never work in real life. I have known people that seem smart in some ways but so dumb when it comes to how the economy works. I have wondered, "How can anyone think this is a good idea?"
