I'm soooo slow right now, Raven. I've currently got three more posts I need to write and I don't even want to think about the promised threads. My list is long and everyone's going to be waiting awhile. I'm sure Noon doesn't want to sit and wait.

You know Tess if you just won the lottery you would have oodles of time. Nods

wanders in and smiles at the comments from the others

You're all awesome!

nods and heads over to the counter in search of tea

Slips in casually, and then decides to fix himself a drink. He ducks behind the bar and rummages around idly, making more noise than is necessary since he's here by himself. He hums softly to himself as he does.

Is drinking sweet tea and stretching out, trying to find something to do in the mean time. Hmm, I might need to start brainstorming just to get my mind going.

Quietly enters and finds a soft chair in which to sit upon. Curling up and snuggling with a blanket, sips some unsweet tea and looks to see who is about.

Gives a quick wave over to her and smiles. Good evening to you. Glad to see other people are about. Haven't see you here in a while, my new friend. How goes your evening?

Hello to you. Yeah, I've been away due to travels. But... I am back from that and fully recovered from it now. Or, so I think. haha. How about you? How's your evening faring?

Nods back. Yes, I was traveling for a while, too. But then, before that, I was away for a very long time with no reason at all, so in ways I'm still settling back in. My evening is progressing fairly well, though, if a bit slow.

Ponders getting himself something to drink for a moment.

I see. Well, traveling happens as do hiatuses. And I hear you about slowness so I'm listening to a fair bit of music since it just makes me happy to do so. Plus, music tends to inspire, which is never a bad thing. :)

Nods back, thoughtfully. Well music is good that way, for some. It never quite has the right effect on me, at least not in terms of inspiring me to write. what I need...is a good book. Nods again, pondering.

Mmm... music is in my blood and soul. But I love to read as well. What are you currently reading? I need to start reading Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. I recently got into Game of Thrones because people have been telling me I'd love the show, so I succumbed to the evils and bought the DVDs and watched both seasons 1 and 2 and am now hooked like the rest of everyone. But I really want to read the books terribly now.

Right now, I'm not reading anything. That's part of the problem. My mind does stir a bit more creatively when I've got something to read. But I'm caught up on the main things I want to read. I'm always hesitant to start something entirely new. Gives a slight shrug. I'll just need to start something, at some point. Perhaps I should check out Ender's Game.

Song of Ice and Fire is awesome. I love the show, but the books are even better-there's a lot stylistic in the writing style that just don't translate on screen. And there have been a few changes, most of which I understand and accept-budgeting, and timing, and the fact that there's only so many episodes and such a HUGE cast. But some of the changes that I don't understand seem to have been a disservice to the show.
Grins quickly. But then, I could get carried away talking about creative differences. That's why having something good to read works to inspire-it gets me thinking how I'd work on portrayals of characters and ideas.

If you do pick it up to start reading it, you need to prepare yourself to get into it. There's so many loads of characters that it loses something if you leave the book sitting for a couple of days, long enough that you've forgotten who some of the minor characters are.
Nods, and then ducks away to pour himself something to drink, quickly.

Mmm... I understand what you mean about that. It's definitely a time investment. Though knowing the sort I am, I'd probably marathon them all once I started reading. I tend to do that. hehe. I just know I'm curious to learn what the differences are between the series and the books, plus I'm just dying to know what happens next. I'm too impatient to wait for season 3 to come out on DVD in February. It just feels too far away and the way season 2 ended, I want my closure! Though I know in watching season 3 I still won't get any, but only more cliffhangers. Thus, I should just read the books and get that much further into the story, not to mention the original intent of the author. XD That reminds me. I wonder if he's had a supplemental handbook written up or plans to. I love those sorts of things. Yes, I'm a funny one that way and adore those sorts of things. >.<

Chuckles. The problem is that his next book, which would be season six, still isn't written. And he still has another book to finish after that. So there's an extreme likelihood that he won't have all the books written by the time they're trying to finish the show. It will be interesting to see how that works out. Even more interesting is the fact that real world time is passing, the child actors are aging, but the characters they're playing aren't moving forward at the same rate. Nods.

As awesome as Maisie Williams has been, it would be really horrible if she aged out of the Arya Stark role and they had to recast it. Though what's more likely is that they'll just pretend time is passing much faster at points and try to justify characters aging to keep up, somewhat, with their real world counterparts.

Gotcha, hehe. I had heard he was thinking the entire thing would be seven books and he's currently writing the sixth. However the sixth is not yet published. So yes, that does make things a bit... interesting, for lack of a better word. I'm curious to see how things go myself when all is said and done and I wonder how prominent a role Martin will have when it comes to the screenplay for the show. My guess is that he'll have a major one, especially if the book is not yet written. I mean, no doubt the man knows what the ending is at least even if he doesn't have all the final points laid out for his final book.

Ah, Arya. I adore her character. She is one of my favorites so far. I'm curious to see what becomes of her. I foresee her becoming an assassin much like Jaquen (sp?) at some point seeing as he gave her that coin for Braavos. That would be an interesting thing to see occur. But really, all the characters are quite amazing. Even the ones you hate, you have to love them just because. But my favorites are definitely Arya, Tyrion and Daenerys. And probably also Jaime. Though not because he's a pretty boy. XD

Grins and nods. Well if you do end up reading, I think you'll enjoy it very much. The very essence of the medium allows a lot more elements to come into play. There's plenty of foreshadowing that takes place in the books that they couldn't easily translate into the show. And a shit-ton more backstory-fuck loads. Laughs and smiles. It's amusing how often they have to put characters in full info-dump mode on the show just to get out the bare minimum.

But yes, in the next day or two, I'm going to see if I can't procure some more reading material for myself. Thinking about writing makes my brain grind a bit harder. Which is a good thing.

So what interesting things are you occupying yourself with this evening?
Glances at her and gives her a thoughtful study..

Well, I know I'll be reading it. It's more a matter of when, to be honest. And that is partly because I've already promised certain people I'd read it and partly because I really want to read it for myself as well. :)

As for how I'm occupying my time? Well, I've done some writing, so that's been good. I'm getting myself back into the swing of things now that I'm back and more or less recovered from travels. The music is helping since, as I said earlier, it tends to inspire me and get my creativity flowing. I'd be lost without music. And it's nice to finally get back to writing after traveling and such.

Nods again. Well it's good that you're getting some writing done. I wish my mind was a tad more focused, and I might have a few more things worked out. Though perhaps I can start applying my creativity a bit, in terms of trying to plot certain threads I've already started. Ponders for a moment...and then nods.

WEll, okay. I'll see if I can focus and just brainstorm a bit about plotting ideas. Pulls out his notepad again and starts staring at it.

Mmm... I know how such times go. That's when I just start writing down plot ideas no matter how tiny or fleshed out they might be. Sometimes they lead to good things down the line. You truly never know. And even if not now, it very well could later and that's what counts. Right? :)

Nods again as he idly scribbles down a few things, frowns at them, and then sighs, leaving them there, before scribbling a few addendums and corrections. Well, it's better to at least record some bad ideas, so that you're not forced to come up with them again later only to have to discard them. Hopefully keeping track of which ideas suck and why should help steer away from those.

Chuckles again at himself.

Hehehe, silly! Although, sometimes even bad ideas can be twisted and molded into good ones. God knows I've had some absolutely horrendous ideas give way to the gold because of some weird bit that led toward inspiration for something else. So, really, it's not bad to just get them all down regardless.

Grins and then nods, glancing at what he's writing. Of course, the thing right now is, I'm much more easily distracted by watching Star Trek episodes rather than trying to focus on plotting. Chuckles. Ideas involving alien viruses aren't likely to fit into my medieval storyframe.

Hehehe... my brain is all over the place when it comes to genres. It never can decide which one it likes best so I just go with them all. However, I find that I'm never bored as a result of going along with them all. Although, with your whole alien viruses and medieval storyframe, why not blend the two genres together and come up with something fabulous?

Eh, I was more saying that for humor's sake. I have a couple of established stories I'm working on, but watching a Star Trek episode about alien viruses-doesn't make for good intermixing. I could start working on an idea combining the two...but it's a more difficult creative exercise than I want to embark on tonight. Grins and then stands up, stretching his arms out and setting his notepad off to the side. He slips over to the fridge and pulls out his decaf iced coffee, pouring himself a glass and then sliding back over to his seat.
