Eh, I was more saying that for humor's sake. I have a couple of established stories I'm working on, but watching a Star Trek episode about alien viruses-doesn't make for good intermixing. I could start working on an idea combining the two...but it's a more difficult creative exercise than I want to embark on tonight. Grins and then stands up, stretching his arms out and setting his notepad off to the side. He slips over to the fridge and pulls out his decaf iced coffee, pouring himself a glass and then sliding back over to his seat.

Ah, gotcha. Well, not everything inspires. At least, not in the moment. So, I can understand that. Right now, most of my current stories are in the fantasy genre in one way or another. Though that's where my mind has been these days. But there's been dashes of the scifi in there too with some of them, just to keep things interesting and so that I don't get too bogged down with one sort of story type.

It's good to keep your mind fresh so you don't feel like you're stuck doing things that are too similar. So are you working on your threads tonight, then? And are you having much progress with them?

I have two I'm mulling responses to at present and the rest are caught up. Though the stories I'm mulling over are not hosted here. I RP both here and on another site. It's fun though, the two I'm currently thinking on are quite different from each other making it quite the exercise. In one, my lady is a timid grad student who has no idea she is being stalked by a serial killer--this idea is actually one of mine and is listed in my journal on here as well though I've yet to embark on that one here. The other is a blend of science fiction and the old west, but it is in its infancy and has only reaped a few posts so far. My lady is an ethereal alien from a watery home world having escaped it due to its being overrun by a hostile alien race. She ends up crash landing on Earth during the Old West era. Another plot of mine, though it was one I whipped up on the fly.

Sounds like something that I could get into writing as well. My thing is sometimes plotting evades me, but I like creating characters and just going with them in a situation. In that, once you've got your character defined, you just put them in the set up and see how it plays out. Nods again.

I'll have to peek at some of your thread ideas sometime, to see if I want to pick up an extra writing partner. but in truth, I have one more thread I need to launched sometime soon before I start looking for one more. Grins.

I've never seen the movie, though when I saw the trailer, the idea of blending the two concepts together always sounded beyond intriguing to me. So, when I was approached, I figured I'd pose the concept. Fortunately for me, the person was game and the RP was born. hehe. Though I have no clue as to how the story line for that movie went or what the aliens in it were like. I actually created the hostile race in my intro and set that bit up and, well, there it is. haha. But, like I said, I made it up on the fly. However, the idea has a lot of potential I think if done right. I know I definitely left it open for many things to occur based on my character and her background. So, we shall see. The other one has potential too and is quite the writing exercise actually. I kind of like it since it gets into some mental ended things. I'm curious to see how things transpire down the line with it all.

And sure, by all means take a peek. It's up for a reason so that anyone who wishes may peruse. At the very least it gives people an idea of how my brain works and gives some insight as to the various things I tend to like. Though, by no means are those the only things. Also, I understand about having a bunch of established threads. I actually have quite a few myself, just most are on the other site I RP on as opposed to here. Presently, I only have one going on here. But, I hope to eventually balance it out. Though I know that will take a bit of time.
